i know it's short notice but would anyone be interested in a
weekend of getting muddy/laning/burning stuff/getting drunk ?
there's a weekend arranged by Boggy (Thames Valley Leafers) and
advertised on the S2C forum that he's asked me to offer on here
(hopefully to increase attendance), i'm not sure if he's a
member of this forum so i agreed :) (i hope no one minds me
linking this here)

we all know what Sibbertoft is like, most of us have a pretty
good idea of the lanes round there and we all like the firepit
rofl
there's nothing organised except the dates so feeding is at your
own discretion, drinking is almost compulsory along with
enjoying each others company and trying to get the wheel/firepit
glowing, laning is relaxed and enjoyable (as long as the map is
held up the right way rofl )
silly toys such as potato cannons are welcome (anyone got a
trebuchet ?? )

"4th Sibbertoft Camping, Off-roading and Green Laning 'Dirty'
Weekend
Sibbertoft (LE16 9UJ) 1st-4th June 2012
For the 4th year running I am organizing a camping and
off-roading weekend at Sibbertoft. This year will be slighty
longer and will have some green laning as well. The weekend
will be limited in numbers with a Max of 25. Anybody can attend
club member or not. The weekend will be "no frills" and no
events will be formally organized, that's not to say that we
will not have enough things to do to stop us getting too bored.
It will start on Friday afternoon and will end on the Monday
evening, if you want to stay over and leave on the Tuesday it
will cost you an extra £5 on top of the normal cost (read on for
prices). I have booked the off-road course for Saturday and
Sunday for our sole use, so if you want to get dirty at any time
feel free and I do mean anytime, off-roading in the dark can be
quite 'cool'. We also have the use of the Sibbertoft marque and
shower/toilet block.
The cost breakdown will depend on how many of us attend, as
again I intend to spilt all costs equally between those who
attend, so the more who come the cheaper it gets. This is a
non-profit event, rough cost are below,
If 10 attend the cost will be about £50 each
If 15 attend the cost will be about £35 each
If 20 attend the cost will be about £25 each
If 25 attend the cost will be about £20 each
All prices are "ish".
And as mentioned before if you want to stop on the Monday night
it will cost you alittle extra.
As for what "each" means this is a family group. I will not
have things like 6 adults with 6 Land Rovers trying to come as a
familiy unit. This is not fair as the rest will have to pay
more, however if you want to bring the wife and kids (I will
be), that's great and will cost you no more.
If you are a single person it will cost you the same as the
family above.
I don't mean to sound harsh but there are always one or two that
complain about the pricing of events, get over it.
If you want to come along and just camp or you only want to come
for a days off-roading, drop me an e-mail and I'll sort out a
reduced price. The Monday will be a Green Laning day.

The weekend has been a lot of fun the last 3 years and I have no
doubt this one will be no different. I am again looking forward
to another really great, relaxed weekend with a group of liked
minded Land Rover nuts. Remember to bring extra fire wood and
your potato cannons.........
There will be the now standard 'free gifts' for everyone....if I
can get Swampy Paul to print some more!

oh and just in case no one realises this isn't a S2C event (or
any other club), it's just an excuse for leafer owners to gather
in the one place

Thanks for the offer HHH much appreciated
i'm unlikely to be attending this event this year as i've three
others i'm going to in a really short time span (including LatP)
so finances dictate i can't
Bogfog and myself have taken a few of the possible attendees
around some of the local lanes so i think they should have an
idea of which map to get for an exploration day (nothing like
exploring without a leader rofl )
no need to generate a headache Hippydave, we enjoyed the giggle
:haha:
