Thanks for the warm welcome, yes all the gay bits are coming
off, although I can't afford new wheels at the mo so will have
to live with them for a while.
Am currently avidly reading through some past posts, but will be
back with some questions shortly. Especially regarding wiring as
after removing all the bars and spots I seem to have a few
original wires not connected to anything :banghead At least all
the essentials work, by that i mean the starter and alternator!

Looks like a fine start, few dings just give it that well used
       look.

Welcome along Jon. I am just down the road from you near March.
I might be able to help you out with a set of wheels too.

Welcome along. De-gayed and that will be a cracking little
motor. You're lucky living near the Fen Tiger too; what he
doesn't know about Land Rovers... :blahblah

       ...most other people do? :-*
Oops. Did I type that out loud? I'll echo the welcomes though,
even if I am still a relative newcomer.

       Thanks guys,
Wheels are the least of my problems at the mo though, as I need
to save some penny's for the bulkhead and chassis which both
       need doing.
The chassis looks like someone has welded it back together with
a bit of baked bean tin! not good. I think a shiny galv one is
needed. Will have to work a bit harder!
