My '73 lightweight

Not much has changed in over a year on my lightweight. But here
it is, for the new forum.

She's been doing a bit of work today. 1 run to the scrap yard
and 1 run to Edale with this 1943 ingersol rand compressor on.

I set about pulling her apart today. I have a few jobs to do
like paint the chassis and remove the odd metal work that the
previous owner added near the fuel tank.

As ever the list of to-do's is growing. I might as well throw an
exhaust on while I'm at it as the one fitted is on its last
legs. The p4 diffs I've recently bought will be going in (well
at least 1off) as the one fitted on the rear at the moment has a
load of play on the input flange and has oil sprayed everything.
Might even paint the axle while I'm at it. Probably redo the
floor fasteners while I'm doing, currently 50% proper screws and
50% nuts and bolts that were seized.

Rain meant I had to take it indoors, fortunately there's a
corner of a workshop nearby that was free to use for a while.
We've taken the axle off for painting, and had to replace the
spring and chassis bushes as the bolts were seized in (so I cut
them off). I've found that an air chisel is the easiest thing to
use when removing the bushes. It cut straight through the outers
and they were out in 2 minutes. Unfortunately my paint hasn't
arrived so it could be next weekend before I get time to start
painting.

I've given the axle a quick coat of hammerite. Not sure how long
it will last as its not the best job ever. I've also installed
one of the p4 diffs.
