whoohoo is have leafs that work now.

Thanks to bod i now have some new parabolic springs that
actually give me some lift :giddy:. Today myself, Gadget,
Wilkobob, and Ringo fitted them the rears took about 6hrs to fit
as the old ones were a bitch to remove and getting the spring
bushes out (even with an sds drill) took hours) :banghead the
front ones only took and hour all in to remove and refit them.
Before fitting i only had 2" between the wheel arch and the the
wheel, now i get my head in the gap :thumbs:

Took her out for a spin and the difference in ride was amazing,
i can now go over speed bumps without bottoming out.

Not sure of make but they were red,not that,that helps :-\
The spring bushes did look a larger diameter than normal ???
It was a good days work and the weather kept off ish.

No i didnt use the hangers as i dont have shocks that would cope
with them, but when the pennies allow i will get new shocks and
put on the hangers.

i still get a choppy ride over speedbumps in my 88 but it's
funny making it lean as i throw it round bends, i've no idea who
made my paras but the rears do have a flappy helper leaf (they
were cheap and secondhand)
but if you want a really comfortable ride you need a proper
grown up landrover, all 109 inches ;D
