Another brass locomotive kit

I've had no work at all today so I've kept myself occupied
building this:

ICBA taking more pics, step by step construction n that but this
is as far as I've got. I haven't started on the frames (chassis)
yet as I'm going to modify it from how it's meant to be built
according to the instructions (which I never read anyway) by
adding working hornblocks and suspension.
A point to the first anorak who can name the company that built
the real thing that the model represents.

The shape of the saddle tank makes me think Andrew Barclay,
although a quick google suggest their engine usually had the
tanks going right back to the cab frontplate.

Not a Barclay, but I can see where you were coming from.
I'm going to have a wild guess at Fox Walker, but I'm not
convinced. It does look familiar but I can't put my finger on
the builder.
Edit: I've just cheated and looked it up (by being a 7mm brass
kit anorak, not industrial steam) and it's not that and it's not
one I knew of so I'll keep quiet and see if anyone is sadder
than I am!

The prototype was by Markham of Chesterfield. They didn't make
many locomotives, only about 20 or so between 1899 and 1914 and
are probably better known for having built the channel tunnel
TBMs.
The model will be a runner with a 12v motor and digital control.

We have what is probably the only surviving Markham steam
locomotive at the Midland Railway. This also has the distinction
of never having left Derbyshire!

This did run in preservation and all the fittings should be in
store for it. Had it been an 0-6-0, I suspect it would have run
again since.

There is one other survivor in Scotland. I saw it about 10 years
ago but can't remember where exactly. It was in a transport
museum, or something similar, near Glasgow.
