       "Big Jim" the 109 hicap
   DIR By: Gromit

       ---------------------------------------------------------
Since a week i'm the proud owner of a 1982 109 hicap; Big Jim
Jim started his live working at Land Rover's Quality Control
Department and still has the license plate to prove it. I bought
it on t'bay and was kindly picked up by Fentiger. Who then drove
it to Lightweigth Nat, where I picked it up before driving it to
       the Netherlands.
More info will follow, but first some pics.
First time I saw the hicap in real live. Tub was filled with a
300TDI for Ruud109 and lots of Land Rover parts. Mudflaps where
touching the ground at this moment

Jim meets Mr. Brown. TDI is lifted out and mudflap are free.

Do you have more info about the history of this hicap (or was it
a joke)? I would love to know more.
