my 101 GS

So, earlier this year I collected this lovely motor.
formerly a LHD 101 GS, which the previous owner had converted to
power steering, then converted back to standard RHD 101
steering.
before I got it, the PO had fitted 3.9 Efi and Autobox out of a
range rover however I bought it without these.
So far im 95% certain i'm rebuilding with either a 200/300 tdi
and an r380, so far I'm just stripping down. the chassis and
axles are going to be getting grit blasted and well and truely
coated in POR15 to protect it, I've also got to do rear
crossmember repairs much like gritstoner had to.
I'm also currently stripping out the cab section to respray the
whole bodywork inside and out.

here it is as it currently sits at work stabled with the works
range rover rolling chassis awaiting a man to gritblast it.
small amount of rot in the rear x too... :o

nothing happened since, complete and utter fucking tosser of a
gritblaster hasnt seen fit to get off his gaylord arse and come
out to site and perform his allotted tasks, nor does he bother
answering the phone or responding in any way to messages left on
his answer phone.
there's about best part of £1500 worth of work gone down the
shitter for him then, plenty of other companies... just gotta
wait a few more weeks....

It wasn't that bad! mechanically it was sound, it just looked
rough on the outside
