The Pinkweight.

Facebook reminded me of something...
Its been a few years now (seven scarily enough) since I got
drunk and made a bet with a couple of mates online about what
colour to paint my Airportable.
I said mid grey. They said pink. I said that I would paint it
pink for a hundred quid and went to bed. Pink won. There was
nearer 200 quid bet against me when I woke up. This number kept
on going up. And up.
I ended up deciding to go the whole hog and make a proper tit of
myself. I decided to justify this decision by dedicating it to
charity. A good thing as I was past 500 quid against me now...
I contacted St Dunstans.

They were happy to have me make an arse of myself. I got me a
name badge and some collection tins. I went to Billing.
The blind veteran I spoke to at Billing said I was a daft twat.
I've rarely felt so proud. He hated the idea, but loved the
sentiment.
Pigtails optional:

I kept the paint job for the whole summer. I got weird looks
commuting up and down the A1, but had fun at the coast when the
sun came out...
Apologies for the wheels and the arch extensions. No excuses
for the cage though.

I know that I am courting (if not outright flouting) taste and
decency with the above photos, but it was for a good cause and I
have reformed and now drive a lovely factory V8 leafer....
Please forgive me.

Great memories pal  I don't think anyone (except, IIRC,
one knob from a certain club for Land Rovers built between 1958
and 1971 who was swiftly had a virtual boot put in his virtual
gob) would or could bemoan earning such coin for such a worthy
cause.

then.
