No, he sold it to some bloke in Buxton.
When I sold Sarah to Brian he was going to catch a train from
Gloucestershire to collect but at that time I was on the lookout
for a 109 and, as it happened, I found one in Cornwall. I
delivered Sarah to Brian on the understanding that he would
drive me to see the 109. The seller was surprised that I'd
driven from Yorkshire in such an old motor and wondered where my
tow motor was. I replied that I intended to drive it home in one
go.
So I did.

It had been rebuilt onto a galv chassis a few years ago and the
owner previous to the one I bought it from had done the work and
had, allegedly, rebuilt the engine some 4000 miles previously.
The chap I bought it from had done less than 500 miles in the 4
years he had owned it!

After a few weeks I changed the truck cab for a hard top.

This one is for sale if anyone's interested. PM for details...

I've owned one or two more but I don't have access to pics ATM
so this video will have to suffice. It shows every Land Rover
that I've owned, except for the 109 above.
Enjoy ;D

Nice line-up, loving TKU's post re-built soft-top looks - and
Nelson looks good as well, although you can hardly beat the
looks of an unmolested TACR1 8)

Only changed hands once, to Ginger Neil. Currently undergoing a
long term engine swap to 3.9 V8 and auto....
Played a starring role in getting Drew's new chassis from
Britpart HQ to France.

Still with the ginger one. i will give him a hand to rebuild
when i get some free time. Also payed a role in getting my 80
inch chassis home to!

That was a pretty epic day to collect the 109", I certainly
enjoyed it but bloody hell was it cold!
I shouldn't have sold Sarah either, but needs must and the chap
that has her now seems to love her. Wish I could have kept her,
but I enjoyed the time I did have- daily driver a 2.25d, nae
worries.
You've had a pretty varied collection of motors over the years!
