"Landrover Series 3 - reborn" by Lindsay Porter

I've just bought this book... i thought it was v.good compared
with the Haynes Restoration Manual also by him. Only published
April 2011 but i think only recently available.
All colour pics, good detail... £23 well spent. Noticed on eBin
that the price varies from £20-£33... but then shouldn't be any
surprises there.

I have always been put off by the abomination on the front
cover, unless (please Lord) that's the 'before' vehicle...

One minute you'll be rebuilding a swivel and before you know it
you'll be fitting diff lockers, 2.8 engine, gay
lights.......................
taking the engine and gearbox out and not putting a new clutch
in probably features too :WTF ?? ;D

Got mine as a Christmas pressie. Some interesting bits and some
bits might be a bit too offensive for some members here!
Well presented and a big improvement on grainy B&W Haynes
photos.

It's a Santana... so they have attempted to rebuild it on those
lines. i can't stand the continual reference to Britpart -
perhaps their parts were better then than they are now.
I'm new to Landrovers but i've restored several classic cars and
as books go i thought it wasn't bad.

The references to Shitpart might be because they bought up the
complete stock of Santana series spares from Spain at some
point. Shitpart has always been shit, however if you're lucky
enough for a Santana boxed part to turn up from Shitpart I'm
sure that'll be much better than the blue box excrement.
