At least it isn't one of those rattly old bent things from
       Thetford 8)
Thanks, folks! There's a lot to learn with it on the
construction side but I have some good tutors.

You really have to keep this thread alive with lots of work in
progress pix and text. Sterling stuff.

       Excellent Kev!
Its nice to see a scale roller for a change instead of another
       Burrell....
I presume the boilerwork is all copper in that scale? What size
is the engine overall - it looks almost as big as some 3"
       engines?
If you ever find yourself doing a show in the North West with it
let me know as Id love to come and see it
Have you put it on TT yet?

Nice project. Are you going to have to put hundreds of stays in
the firebox, just like the full-sized things?
Edit - pic now showed up. Someone's already done that.

Not so much North West, as South West.
We'll be showing it at Dorset 2013, which is a little closer to
Bristol than your home ranch in Cheshire. So get yourself down
there, You could bring your own scaler if you still have it.

Dorset is certainly a date in my calendar but it remains to be
seen whether I will be taking my own engine next year (this year
I am definitely not). Normally by the time the other rallies in
the south west are starting, I'm back home ooop north anyway

Chuck it in the back of the 88" or on a small trailer and drive
       it down, you split-arse!
I'm going to be fab'ing some ramps and loading the Grey Fergie
on the rear tub of the, by then, renovated 2B and shinning-up
from France with that, to Dorset '13.
       Enthusiast ::)

It doesnt fit in the back of the 88, and I'm currently in the
process of finding a suitable motorbike trailer to modify. This
year for dorset I am going in the car because we are making it
part of a long weekend away and doing bournemouth air show the
       day before.
I wioll have to see how much petrol money I have by Dorset time
in 2013 as its a fucking long way in a 2.25p and i will have
been doing all the local shows over the course of the summer.
