       Well today we put the dampers on Clive with new poly bushes but
       we couldnt get the bolts through the chassis so we had to
       Improvise, Adapt and Overcome
       We modified a gland nut to push the bush and fit the pin

       then squeezed the bush into place using 3 bricks a 4" vice and a
       bottle jack :eek:

       only the rear ones the front was too high had to wait for the
       springs to settle a wee bit.

       Take it you are using the right ones for the combat chassis and
       extended hangers?

       I keep an old socket, with a slot ground in it and a G-clamp for
       this job. Much easier than balancing a vice on bricks...  rofl

       I thought ahead and realising it would be twat of a job,
       attached the shock to the spring plate before I put the spring
       plate on the vehicle. Still required a clamp or hydraulic press
       but ................

       Exactly the way I do it, I have a slotted socket, and then a
       proper old school sturdy 10" G-clamp, and the job is done in a
       couple of minutes. Dead easy.

       We would have used a G-Clamp but unfortunately I couldnt
       remember who had borrowed them! Then stuck upon the idea of a
       vice....
       My usual method is G-clamp and slotted thingy but the vice
       worked  :thumbs:
