Diesel Motorcycles

I've been toying with an idea of using the Yanmar L100 that's
sat in my shed for something...
Royal Enfield built the Taurus, which was Cement Mixer engined,
and although got 200mpg it had vibration sufficient to knock
your eyes out of your head.
So... With a modern (ish) diesel engine, could a bitza be
knocked up for running about to the boat, etc (?)
I'm looking for suggestions for a donar frame, I was thinking
something Honda CB350 sg size/age. For those who know alot more
about this than I, any thoughts? ???

Engine wise, I would be tempted to use the lump out of one of a
diesel quadbike.
Also, this might be a good site to check out if you havent
already found it:

Ace idea .....Toyed with it myself once upon a time but using a
small single cylinder lister (someone else beat me to it in the
end and built it into a chopper)

The enfield is weird to hear though as the engine note barely
changes

I remember watching a video not long ago about a new diesel
motorbike being tested by the British and American forces,It
seemed quite powerful and vibration free.

if the cb350 is of the age i'm thinking it might be (no younger
than 1974-5) i'd be a little wary of the frame, most of them
will have suffered badly from rot by now inside the rails and i
should think the vibrations will finish it off
small multi cylinder engines i think would be the way to go,
three cylinders if possible of about 800cc or less to try to
give it a little smoothnes, possibly mate it to a harley gearbox
to cope with the torque/pulses
no idea what you'd steal a tiny capacity diesel out of though

for good diesel builds
this has got to be the best i've found  and it just
sounds so right rather than those little two cylinder tractor
engines

I'd go Ural for the running gear/frame.. plenty of people have
built some good diesel specials based on them.. my mate built
one a couple of years ago but never finished it.. shame really
