Hello chaps, does anyone know of a decent company to move big
ants 109 from Stoke on trent to derbyshire?

There's a bloke in Derby called Trevor (07966 013 891) He did
mine recently and the price wasn't bad. He's got a proper
flatbed lorry type, so no problem with a big load

I think you can only use the A frame if the towed vehicle is
road legal!
With most police cars now having ANPR, it's not worth the risk
(6 points for no insurance, I think :o)

When we fetched Simons 109 we hired a flatbed trailer for £30
from the hire center and towed it with Maggie. Althought she was
sat on the bump stops.

I recently googled hiring a beavertail for when I collected my
109". I forget the name of the firm but it came up on a google
search and there were branches all over. Hire rates were around
£95 plus small mileage charge if you did over 350 miles. Seemed
very reasonal tbh. Fitted with a leccy winch too. ;)

I moved my 'new' purchase, 1966 S2, today from Cheadle to home
(near Wakefield) the easy way - I drove it 8)
Then again, it is taxed, MOT'd and it was still covered by the
sellers insurance (and I have insurance to drive other's
vehicles 3rd party).
A lovely drive through the Peak District, choosing TomTom's
"shortest route" option - finds all those tiny lanes if you're
not in a hurry ;)
