       Oil spewing out of the air filter

       Hi guys hoping for a bit of guidance with this one:
       Went to change the oil in Proper job the other day (3mb 2.25
       petrol) and noticed oil had been chucked out of the top of the
       air filter, not a massive amount but neither was it a thimble
       full. Pulled the hose of between the air filter and carb and was
       covered in oil inside. I don't know how long it has been like it
       as the Landy lives with my old man who uses it from time to
       time, and he couldn't remember seeing it before. He topped the
       engine oil up recently but don't think he overfilled it, or for
       that matter spilt any on the filter. The oil inside the filter
       was normal level and the breather didn't look blocked but have
       cleaned it anyway. The old oil looked fine and no evidence of
       oil in water so presuming that I haven't got a blown headgasket,
       hence worried there is something more expensive looming?
       Maybe connected but it doesn't idle well when cold but when
       warmed up drives fine, its got a Zenith so have heard of carb
       body warping issues which could mimick this.
