After 2 failed attempts to get a starter that fitted (great
working on a bitsa :banghead), I had one arrive and fitted
within about 30 mins this afternoon :giddy:
No more parking on the slope for me ::)

At the request of Parksy (whose photo upload/French Basque
country general I.T. capacity has monged-up) and for the benefit
of Panthershaun and all who wish to see this signature Leafer,
I've 'Bucketed' and uploaded some snaps of Pastel Parksy's
Purring Princess.
Pic #8 is at my digs, which has copyright on the very look of
the stonework. So how he had the nerve to freely use this study,
despite him actually having taken it with his camera, will be a
problem for my lawyers to chew over.

In fact I will even go on to say that I think an 86 with this
wheel/tyre combination is nigh on perfect for me. Is she
registered in France now? and was it any problem seeing as she
is fitted with non standard parts?

Cheer Drew
The Beach Rover is still running on Uk plates, MOTd and insured
back in the UK. Probably spends a bit too much time this side
of the water though ;-)
As the engine is a petrol and it is all as per the V5 and other
paperwork it would not be too bad to register. Just plan on
taking it back to UK....
Engine apart (early 90 2 1/4 with ACR stage 2 kit, SU carb,
tubular fanimold, sports exhaust, simon Bcc lecy disi) it is on
standard springs and shocks, LWB wheels, 255x85x16 tyres, rangey
diffs all on a galv chassis. It now has original seats and
inertia belts.
IMHO the 86" is a brilliant design with same size front and rear
props, a decent rear bed, and is very easy to keep on the road
with later bits which fit simply (unlike the 80"- which I also
love!)

tis a beaut mate, I'm thinking more and more that the 86 is
probably the way to go for me when I decide to get a 1, bringing
it back to the UK? man you aren't thinking of moving back are

Very much approve of this. Hmm perhaps I need a Series 1 to add
to the fleet! They seem to be getting quite costly to get hold
of nowadays though.

just think how cool a 107 with 1 ton suspension set up and
