Hi all
Can anoyone tell me how you are supposed to bleed the brake
system on the 80". Is it furthest piston away from master
cylinder first or closest?
Thanks Rob

It makes no difference.
Get someone to sit in it and stamp the pedal up and down a few
times then hold it down, You grovel on the floor and open one of
the nipples (fnar) then when the fluid stops flowing close it
again, do it a few times till it's just fluid coming out with no
air bubbles in.
Repeat on each wheel then go round and do it again.

As Luke says above.... Although I do always start with the
furthest one away when I'm doing mine........ also give the
peddle a good pump before you crack each nipple to build the
pressure up.... works for me.... Sorry I didn't get round to
calling you over the weekend mate, I will try and call by next
weekend for a chat..
Cheers...

You probably already know this, but close the nipple on a down
stroke. So your helper must call “up”….”down”….”up”…..”down”

I've always used the "easy-wife" method, when I can prise her
back-side off the settee away from the latest vampire shite
churned out on the telly box ::)

Take a bicycle tyre inner tube, cut about a foot out of it with
the valve in it, make a knot on one side and put the other side
over the reservoir completely full. Put pressure on the tube,
but make sure it doesn't pop off... Then first open the bleeding
valve on the left rear brake, then the right rear brake, then
left front and end with left front. Do every bleeding valve one
by one until no air bubbles come out any more...
Make sure during the procedure to not empty the reservoir: top
up whenever reaching the 'low' mark!!! So check regulary!

I use the wife to help also. She has to giggle everytime I shout
"up" or "Down" or "In" or "Out"... ::)
I start at the farthest one and work my way to the nearest. Then
I work back round again starting with the farthest again. ;)

I also use my missus to pump the brake pedal, but all I do is
lay underneath the Landy doing sod all while she pumps away for
about half an hour...........I'll teach her not to empty the
pissing rubbish bin!
