My name's Liz, I'm 33, and I'm from the USA. I started playing
KoL as a college student in 2010 and picked it back up for a
while in 2015 to kill time while working front desk at a hotel
when I was in grad school, but it fell off my radar again until
a few weeks ago. I played Roadwarden on Steam last month and it
got me in the mood for more text-based RPGs, which got me
thinking about KoL, so I fired up the old account. (I also
played West of Loathing in the meantime, which was super fun and
really reminded me how much I love all of the wordplay in this
game.)
My main account is hopeandmemory, but I have a number of
alts—not for farming or anything against the rules, but just
because I like trying out all of the different classes and
seeing how the nemesis quests are different for each of them. I
did my first ascension recently and reclassed from Disco Bandit
to Accordion Thief, but I think next go-around I might switch to
Pastamancer, since that is my favorite class. Maybe I'll try a
hardcore run, too!
I have never joined a clan before now, so I am a little
shy/nervous because I'm not really sure how the basement thing
works (though I think I have the karma balance needed to access
it?). But I'm eager to learn and help if I can!

Hi, Chopper here. Mid-30s, USA. I haven't played KoL since
college. After spending 1,500+ hours in Stardew Valley, I
decided to take a trip down memory lane and see what's new in
the kingdom.

I am an Irishman living in Germany. Found KoL about three months
ago and have been too busy trying to survive to do much on the
forum or chat side. Just started listening in the last couple of
weeks. My Character (and all my familiars) are named after UK
politicians as it amuses me. I have opionions about poiticians.
Just started the Frat/Hippy war and am aiming at the sorceress
before the year ends. But I think Crimbo will torpedo that idea,
if all I reads comes to pass.

I'm Sherbert. I picked up KoL recently after spending way too
much time playing Shadows over Loathing, and it's something fun
to do with my husband. Approximately 28, returning to college in
the US to study accounting with the intention of studying
forensic accounting.
I'm just plodding my way through the game, not really
hyper-focused on ascending or doing anything fancy.

I'm a returning Loather! Not sure what prompted it back into my
head after I had played for a while and quit before ascension
was a thing. But I'm glad to be back!

Hi all i'm spinyuk - which is Spiny UK , spiny being my
demoscene nick for the last 35+ years, and i'm from the UK :)
I started playing KoL August last year from a UK newspaper
article about 'websites that haven't changed in years' :)
I used to play hours and hours of MUDs, but they are slowly
fading away, so KoL is filling that gap as a nice MUD-adjacent
game

Rick Tyger. No, that's not my real name, because this is the
internet and I have an above average IQ. Gen Xer, by the skin of
my teeth. From rural Kansas. Former framhand/oilfield worker.
Native American (Muskogee/Cherokee; enrolled Muskogee). Hobby
writer. I did have an older KOL account, but it got hacked so I
had it disabled. Was not affiliated with this clan before, so
people probably won't remember that old account unless we
chatted at some point. I came back to KOL a few years after the
deactivation of the old account, with this one. Was in another
clan, but that one had become mostly inactive. Forgot to post
here, but posting now. We've probably chatted in Clan
Chat/Discord at some point by now.
