Flyboys 1986 Set to Face Delhi Cobras in First Konami League
Showdown
The countdown is on! Flyboys 1986 are gearing up for their first
flight in the Konami League Division 2 under the new banner.
Their inaugural match will see them take on the 7th-placed Delhi
Cobras in Round 19, with anticipation soaring as the team looks
to make a strong statement away from home.
Currently sitting in 12th position out of 14 teams, Flyboys 1986
are eager to climb the ranks in Division 2. A win in this match
is crucial, as it could widen the gap from the bottom two teams
and provide some much-needed breathing room. However, their
first test comes against a formidable opponent—the Delhi Cobras,
who are currently 7th in the league. Playing away from home adds
another layer of challenge as the Flyboys prepare to take on a
team known for their quick strikes and venomous counter-attacks.
All eyes will be on Manager Evanporez Singh, the airline
pilot-turned-football manager, as he navigates his first
competitive fixture. Singh, who was handed the reins due to his
close ties with the club's new owners, is confident in his
squad’s ability to deliver. “We’ve done our pre-flight checks,
and now it’s time to soar. The Cobras might slither on the
ground, but we’re ready to take the battle to the skies,” Singh

The Flyboys are facing some turbulence with key players ahead of
the match. F_De_Paizo and A_Dutra are both suspended, which

season now so we cant afford to drop any points if i want to

Golden Eagles FC are away to Wearside Redstar who currently sit
bottom of division one. Eagles will be keen to avoid any banana
skins today, with their away form still a little on the iffy
side, following a 0-3 away defeat to Sunset Knight a couple of
weeks ago. Eagles themselves currently sit 3rd, 3 points behind
leaders Manchester United and Sarnians.
The visitors are without Artem Poltorak, who has drawn recent
interest from division 2's Tranmere Titans. However, after
picking up a knock and bruised eye socket in the mid week League
Cup Game against Kyushu Yakuza, that interest has seem to have
cooled. It would have been unlikely he would have left with only
8 weeks left of the season, but it is a big blow to Eagles with
him being out for 4 weeks. He'll miss today's league game, as
well as league games against Arctic Storm and Helsinki
Hellhounds and the League Cup Quarter Final 2nd leg against
Yakuza.
The versatile Taavi Ruusumäki will slot into Poltorak's right
back slot and we could see Roman Vynnychuk or Akram Miraz making
a rare appearance from the bench. It looks likely there could be
some other squad rotations, but no further news has been
forthcoming. Meanwhile Redstar don¨'t have anyone missing.
Eagles need a win here to keep up with the 2 teams above them,
it is still incredibly tight at the top with 5 points separating
1st to 6th.

Reykjavik Reapers, who returned to winning ways in the league
last week are at home to 6th placed Dusseldorf Dragons. For the
first time since the mid-season break, Reapers have managed to
pull away from the chasing Tranmere Titans again, with gap back
up to 8 points. With 8 games still to go, there is a huge amount
of work for the Icelandic outfit to do, especially with the
final game of the season against the aforenamed Titans.
Both Reapers and Dragons have full squads to chose from, but
with the host strikers struggling to find the back of the net
recently, it could only be a matter of time before there is a
change in personnel. Manager Dave Rosewell announced "We are
looking into possible options, the boys know that they are not
only fighting for the title, but they also need to show me the
fighting spirit that has been missing of late." It was a
somewhat cryptic statement from the manager, but certainly seems
like some players heads could be on the chopping block if they
don't pull their socks up.
Reapers will be hoping that rivals Cockney Cockrells could do
them a favour this week and trip up their hosts Titans. Of
course Cockrells will be hoping Dragons can do the same for
them.
