Golden Eagles FC marched to a 6-2 victory over Ancona Angels in
dominating style. The home side blitzed Angels' goal with 33
shots, 20 of which were on target, you have to say it was
surprising that more didn't go in! The game was won and lost in
the middle of the park yet again, even with the likes of Darío
Bourrin and Rodrigo Desábato rested.
Eagles quickly too the lead after barely a minute into the game,
Pavel Chernyshev scoring from Angelo Nazari's swinging cross,
1-0! Milos Potkozarač's defected shot had Geo Gallinni well
and truly beat, after a lovely layup from Domenic Torcaso, 2-0!
Eagles were 3 to the good a minute later, Chernyshev grabbed
himself a 2nd goal from Diog Guillems' corner, 3-0!
In the 26th minute, Potkozarač grabbed himself a 2nd goal
also, Akram Mirza who impressed last week played in the Serbian
with a sweet pass and lobbed the keeper, 4-0! Bryan Prittwick
had a brilliant chance to make it 5 after the break, his free
kick struck the post, but he put the rebound wide! 5 minutes
later, Prittwick gave away a free kick himself and was lucky to
only get a yellow card. Gorki Georges played a short free kick
to Hierro Quan who shot the ball towards goal. Kamil Uzbaezanov
thought he had done enough, but the goal was given, 4-1!
Paco Chia then scored his first goal for Eagles, 2 minutes after
coming on a sub with a lovely curled shot, 5-1! Ín the 75th
minute, Potkozarač turned provider for his Brazilian
striker partner, as chia grabbed his 2nd of the game, 6-1! A few
minutes later, Hierro Quan also grabbed himself a 2nd, but its
certainly a case of too little, too late, 6-2! Potkozarač
almost grabbed himself a hat-trick int he dying minutes, but he
put his shot wide and the score remained 6-2, what a breathless
match! Afterwards, Potkozarač was award with man of the
match for his 2 goals and an assist.
"The boys played brilliantly today, we were completely ruthless
going forwards, we now need to translate that kind of finishing
into our league games." The win puts Eagles in the driving seat
to win group 3 who are first on a max 9 points, while Sarnians
drew 3-3 with Cockney Cockrells, putting them 2nd on 4 points.

Reykjavik Reapers finally got a much needed win in the league
gup, as they beat Nikara Dragons 2-1 away in a very close game.
There certainly wasn't much to chose between the sides,
possession was equally shared and shoots on goal were few and
far between, only 11 in total the whole game combined.
Reapers had a slight advantage with, Dragon's manager being
stuck in traffic, those Japanese highways can be murder
sometimes, so it was down to his management team to oversee
things in his stead. It was Reapers who made the perfect start,
as captain Vilo Fleuss squared the ball to Beka Ramishvili and
the young Georgian wing-back buried it after only 6 minutes,
1-0!
Enzo Julliene made it 2-0 after 10 minutes with a superb solo
effort after losing his marker and rifling home his shot. The
game looked it could be goals galore, but that 2nd goal must
have woken up the Dragons' defence and Reapers were unable to
find another way though.
Indeed when another goal did come, it came from former Reapers
defender Frederico De Pâizo, who struck with a powerful header
in the 71st minute to make it 2-1. Dragons were unlucky not to
find an equaliser, but it wasn't meant to be and it ended in a
3rd straight defeat in the league cup for them. After the match,
Enzo Julliene was awarded with man of the match for his fine
strike.
"It was a close game, but the win will give us some hope that we
can make it to the knockout stages." Reapers stay in 3rd on 4
points, 1 points behind Darlington All Stars and 3 behind
Helsinki Hellhounds. There is still hope for them yet.

again another game were we have struggled but we have shown our
fighting spirit in this game as 3 times we went behind and 3
times we managed to draw level and at 1 time we was 3 1 down i
thought it was going to be 1 of those games but butt managed to
draw us level in the last minute to make it 3 3 superb comeback
from the lads going 2 goals down and managing to get a draw but
going forward we have to do better .

Sarnians 3-3 Cockney Cockrells
A proper ding dong cup tie from a second string Sarnians to earn
a valuable point in the aim to qualify. We had the marginally
better share and chances in the game, and what was most pleasing
were the 3 goals from 3 teenagers in Bogdanovych, Staggs and
Shallahs.
We sit in 2nd place in the group at the halfway stage with
everything to play for between the bottom 3 sides with Eagles
already effectively being out of reach.
