Sarnains vs Kingfisher Dolphins
It’s back to the league and a home tie, and we welcome
Kingsfisher Dolphins to Dead Man’s Alley. We’re hoping for
80,000 fans to turn out to start their Bank Holiday weekend in
the North Devon sunshine.
We have a full squad to select from and Laszlo Kiss returns to
both captain the side and lead the front line, and will be
looking to add to his 5 goals.
The league cup provided us the chance to rest a number of
players so we go in fresh and looking for 3 points.

Golden Eagles FC face a tough match against Rael Nerrad at
Parallel Park and manager Dave Rosewell will no doubt be hoping
that former players Tobias Luoto and Anders Limt wont prove to
be a thorn in the side. Both teams have won one and lost one
each in the opening weeks of the season, so this match could go
either way. Both also won their league cup matches this past
Wednesday and both could be a little tired today.
Golden Eagles remained un-changed yet again, Eric Van Oist is
fit to start having come off early in Eagles' 2-0 league cup win
over Sarnians. Spencer Mason has been named on the bench and
could feature today. Nerrad have LeMar Ricky missing from
defence, after getting himself sent off in the 90th minute
against Thames Ironworks, so he'll be sitting in the stands on a
1 match suspension.
"This is our 3rd game against one of the title contenders in 3
weeks, last week against Yakuza we showed just hoe ruthless we
can be, while in mid week we were resolute in defence. We need
to combine both of those traits today if we are to come away
with a good result."
This will be the 4th time these 2 teams have met in OFMC, Eagles
have won one, while Nerrad have won three (1 of those games was
in a shoot-out). Can the division 2 champions claim another win
or will it be the title holders who come out on top again?
Bookies are split across the board on this game.

Reykjavik Reapers will be hoping to return to winning ways at
home to Nikara Dragons, after their mid week league cup defeat
to Helsinki Hellhounds. This will be the first time these 2
sides will be facing each other and Reapers have had the better
start to the season with 2 wins out of 2, while Dragons have 2
defeats from 2.
Beka Ramishvili starts ahead of Ayho Kushimo who drops down to
the bench due to squad rotation, manager Dave Rosewell wants to
keep players fresh with it being a long campaign. Aside from
that they have no injuries nor suspensions. Dragons similarly
have no absences either, although no news is forth coming about
their starting line up. It is possible that former Reapers
players Federico De Paizo and Scott Romano could face their
former sides. While this will also be a reunion of sorts for
Alessio Kovacic, as the Swiss midfielder won the division 2
title with Eagles last season under Dave Rosewell before he was
sold during the pre-season.
"We are hoping today that we can make it 3 wins out of 3 games
and we are only 1 of 3 teams to have a 100% record in division
2. We were very unlucky in mid-week I feel Hellhounds' keeper
was unbeatable and we shot ourselves in the foot twice conceding
2 soft penalties. We have to get our heads in the game today and
not make any silly mistakes."
Can Reapers make it 3 on the bounce? Or will the Dragons give
their season a much needed kick start? Reapers are odds on to
win at home today, with a draw being 5/1 and a Dragons win being
7/1.
