AFTER great win in the league last time out we want to carry
that on into the cup now and hopefully we can bring back at
least a draw but like every game i play i want to win

Golden Eagles FC and Sarnians meet for the 2nd time in a month,
this time in the X-box League Cup's group stages. They are in
group 3 that has been dubbed the "Group of Death" due to having
these 2 heavy hitters and they are joined by division 2 sides
Ancona Angels and Cockney Cockrells who also face off in the
first round of games. Eagles remain unchanged from their 6-4
victory over Kyushu Yakuza this past Saturday. While there has
not been any team news as of yet from Sarnians' camp as of yet.
Eagles manager Dave Rosewell commented "This is a big game early
on in the league cup for us, we showed some devastating
finishing over the weekend, but feel asleep at the back towards
the end which gave our opponents hope. We need to be more solid
at the back for this game with the likes of Kiss, Honest and
Tanaka being in fine form."
Last time these 2 teams met, Eagles beat Sarnians 2-1 in the
Wildlife Trust Trophy 5/6th final. Pavel Chernyshev outshone
counterpart Laszlo Kiss will a fine brace (including the winning
goal) as the Hungarian was muzzled by the Eagles defence. Can
Eagles come out on top again or will Sarnians get some revenge?
Bookies remain split over this game, it could certainly go
either way!

Reykjavik Reapers will be hoping to see off Helsinki Hellhounds
again, this time in their group 2 game in the X-box League Cup.
Last time these 2 teams met, an impressive looking Reapers beat
the (still) unmanaged Hellhounds 3-0 in their own backyard, will
it be payback time for the Finns or will the Icelanders do the
double? These 2 teams are joined in group 2 by Darlington All
Stars and Nikara Dragons, who also play each other Wednesday
night. The bookies give a slight edge to Reapers, with a score
draw being evens. While in the other game, All Stars are firm
favourites to beat Dragons.
Andrei Perebyinis and Beka Kechakmadze return to the starting
line up after coming off the bench in Saturday's 3-1 victory
over Eastern Whirlwinds. With Beka Ramishvili and Enzo Julliene
dropping to the bench. No team news from their Finnish opponents
however. "We have a good chance in this game I think, despite
the calibre of our opponents. We have already shown that we can
mix it up with big hitters. All we need to do is remained
disciplined and focused."

Golden Eagles vs Sarnians
The League Cup is back, and as with previous seasons it’s going
to be a chance to rotate the side and give younger players some
game time. Ember Tuipers and Danyl Bodganovych get their first
minutes of the season in defence. Scout signing Cody Domino
makes his debut at anchorman and Proximo leads the line.
It’s tough opponents in the shape of Golden Eagles, it will be a
wonderful experience for young side. We are taking the
competition seriously are aiming to qualify from the group.
