KYUSHU vs WOLVES
The good thing about this tournament besides the extra game
time, is it means the start of the main season is just around
the corner and the excitement grows. Tonight we face Wolves, a
team whom were relegated last season and we have faced each
other on many occasions and because of this we will be able use
our past history to help us judge how far we are off from last
season after lots of changes being made preseason

A new look Golden Eagles FC kick off their first Wildlife Trust
Trophy group 3 game against Thames Ironworks this evening. Fans
were shocked at the sudden departures of Jans Goishalt, Min So
Jouy and Theo Taylor (who only played 1 friendly match) to arch
rivals Helsinki Hellhounds yesterday. Goishalt and So Jouy were
instrumental in Eagles' division 2 title win last season. That
being said their replacements Jack Groves and Diog Guillems are
fantastic players and Spencer Mason looks to be a good prospect
also. A full news report on the comings and going will be
forth-coming before the season starts.
Back to tonight's game, it looks like both Groves and Guillems
will be in the starting line up, with mason possibly appearing
from the bench. New captain Darío Bourrin will be leading the
team out and seems there are no changes in defence from Eagles'
3-1 friendly win over Rael Nerrad. Young Uzbekistani scout
prospect Akram Niraz has been named on the bench also.
Elsewhere in group 3, Arctic Storm and United 1908 are also in
action.

Division 2 new boys Reykjavík Reapers face last season's
division 2 runners-up Helsinki Hellhounds in what will be an
interesting match. Hellhounds are currently managerless after
Dave Rosewell's rival - Steve Nettleship departed OFMC last
weekend, they are however still a formidable side. Elsewhere in
group 1, Acorn Academicals and Eastern Whirlwinds duke it out in
the other game.
Reapers had another busy week in the transfer market since their
1-0 friendly victory over Cockney Cockrells. Former Eagles
defender Danik Marashko links up with his former boss after
being signed from Nikara Dragons (in exchange for )and will
certainly feature today. While United 1908 pair of Andrei
Perebyinis and Artem Kolinko join their former team-mate Beka
Kechakmadze at Reapers, with Kevin Johnstone and Osvaldino going
the other way. Perebyinis looks to start, while Kolinko may be
named on the bench. Young Scottish scout player Jordan Giordano,
who starts on the bench looks to be the new number 2 keeper,
pushing Amir Sadat down to 3rd choice.

Sarnians vs Leszno Lyon’s
So after the abject disappointment in our opening pre season
game we name an unchanged side for the start of the preseason
tournament. Hopefully another week on the training ground will
see our passing game link together better against the currently
unmanaged new boys.
