The Tampere Talon - Eagles player of the season

With only one week remaining of the season, it is time for
Eagles' fans to vote for the club's player of the season. They
have such a wealth of talent to chose from, so no doubt it'll be
close. Bookies are taking bets who will win with French midfield
maestro and long term Helsinki Hellhounds target Darío Bourrin
currently favourite on 3/1. He has consistently been one of
Eagles' best players and may have touted him as a future
captain.
Next up is current top scorer with 22 goals so far, Russian
hot-shot Pavel Chernyshev, who is 5/1. The 21 year old, along
with his Finnish strike partner Jans Goisthalt (who is 12/1
himself) have racked up a total of 41 goals between them.
Defensive duo Atrem Poltorak and Eric Van Oist are both in at
7/1. Ukrainian Poltorak's performance, both in defence and going
forward (including scoring 9 times) earned him the captain's
armband at the season's mid-point. While Dutchman Van Oist has
been imperious since his pre-season signing from Tanton Tigers.
Shot-stopper Kamil Uzbaezanov, younger brother of former Eagles
midfielder Khaibar is 8/1. The Afghan keeper has been brilliant
between the sticks and has certainly been a key player.
Coming in at 10/1 is Swiss attacking midfielder Alessio Kovacic.
Born to an Italian mother and Serbian father, raised in
Switzerland. He has also had a blistering season, notching up 12
goals himself while playing behind the front 2.
South Korean Min So Jouy and Argentinian Rodrigo Desábato are
both on at 14/1. So Jouy has been a key figure in the centre of
the field, but hasn't featured much recently with Angelo Nazari
beginning to find his feet. The experienced Desábato has been
stoic in his defensive midfield position and has been the
anchorman, sitting in front of the back 4. Some. Describe him as
an Argentinian Lothar Matthüas.

included above

While many Eagles fans were still nursing hangovers after their
team clinched the division 2 title, the votes were being counted
for the Eagles player of the season poll.
The bookies seemed to have called it correctly, as young French
superstar Darío Bourrin won the poll with a massive 46% of the
votes! Congratulations to Darío! As news of this dropped, it has
also beenconfirmed that his contract has been extended until at
least 2025.
Another player who has had his contract extended is Pavel
Chernyshev, who came 2nd in the poll with 21%.
3rd was Dutchman Eric Van Osit with 15%, with the remaining 18%
being split between several other players.
