Nikara Dragons

Nikara Dragons today announced that christaylor has agreed a
deal to become their new manager.
They have thanked former caretaker manager Skittles for his
commitment to the club and are looking forward to the next
chapter.

The Nikara Dragons have been in solid but unspectacular form
since they announced their new manager, with a win and two draws
returning 5 points from a possible 9. It’s left the Dragons
🐉 in basically the same spot as before which is probably
as good as could be expected from a manager who got the job
because he was ace at Sensible World of Soccer (SWOS) in 1995

That said it’s safe to say the club have been transformed by a
range of fortuitous events that really are nothing to do with
the new manager! Over the days imminently prior to Christmas the
club improved their backup goalkeeper from a 10 to 12 which the
club are putting down to laser eye surgery.
Their central defence has decided it can now pass the ball as
Matsumoto and Lundrum have progressed dramatically (13 rated)
and Kushimo, suddenly in favour with the manager who has a new
found appreciation for him, has progressed to 11.
In a surprising twist Tyrod Taylor, previously a rounded 18 year
old defender, is now a beast (I think, really not sure but
Helsinki are constantly trying to buy him so he must be ok!) of
a central midfielder with 13 rated tackling and shooting and 15
rated passing. No idea what he’ll be by the time he is 21 but
hopefully good enough to lead the club to mid table mediocrity!
A new signing has arrived, though nobody in the clubs analytics
department can tell where from. Georgie Rutter, a high potential
French forward arrived for training last week with a team
security pass and some football boots so he’s been included in
their match day squad for this weekend! (Speaking of George
Weah, does anyone remember when a guy claiming to be his cousin
got 20 minutes as a sub for Southampton in the early 2000’s - I
think!).
The club might have changed their captain though they aren’t
sure if they followed the rules on this one so maybe
Hatori_Hanzo is now the club captain or maybe not!
Safe to say it’s utter chaos in Nikara but the Dragons 🐉
are bumbling their way through! If anyone has any decent 18 year
old players they’d be open to sell then get in touch as we are
more than happy to sacrifice the happiness of the fans for the
promise of a non crappy team in years ahead!

After a number of sleepy weeks in the transfer market things
have started to pick up at the Sinegard Stadium with a number of
key personnel moves to start the new calendar year.
New Starlet joins
The first move in the new year was the addition of exciting 16
year old prospect Georgi Rutter. The French forward joins from
an unknown club and is extremely raw but at 16 years old offers
a great deal of potential. The current forward line in Nikara
looks fairly settled from the outside with rounded top scorer
Anders Streng partnering with local hero Hatori Hanzo. Streng
balances ok (14) shooting with great passing fitting the role of
a floating number 10 in the Dragons line up. Hanzo is the clear
number 9 with 16 rated shooting giving the club some edge up
front. Rutter's role in the team is still to be decided but it
is thought the club are looking to be fluid up front with both
the #9 and #10 interchangeable. This will mean both Rutter and
Hanzo will need to develop their passing but with both in the
early stages of their career there's plenty of time for this
eventuality to play out. It would not stun anyone at the club if
Streng was to move on if a decent offer was made.
First Major Deal
Only a week after signing Rutter to his first professional
contract, the Nikara Dragons made a stunning move selling their
best player Kai Matsumoto to divisional rivals the Golden
Eagles. The Eagles interest in Matsumoto has been long standing
but all the decent managers at Nikara previously refused to sell
the star player. Under new, less competent leadership, it seems
there's no such trepidation as the player was instantly
jettisoned. In return the club picked up two young prospects and
a bit of cash which is likely to be spent on the clubs next
'team holiday to Guatemala'. So who are the players?
Oscar Marconato - Defender - New Zealand
Marconato is just 18 years old and fits the mold of a young,
decent main skilled, all round prospect. He has 13 rated passing
which with the right development should progress to 16 rated in
the next 3 years. Alongside this he offers good passing (11) and
shooting (10) which is the one area where Matsumoto lacked.
Whilst these projections are all well and good, there is an
obvious Matsumoto sized short term hole - Kai had almost 16
rated tackling and with Lundrum recently losing the captaincy
the centre back pairing at the club went from (almost) 16 and 15
rated to 14 & 13 rated. The Dragons are going to need some
patience with this one!
Anders Limt - Attacking Midfield - Sweden
Limt is a 19 year old midfielder who is most comfortable going
forward. He is likely to fill the #8 role at the top of a
midfield diamond though in time the club hope he can offer a
more balanced skill set in midfield. For now his 14 rated
passing helps improve an area the club were deeply concerned
about prior to Christmas and with 12 rated shooting he should
contribute a decent number of goals
The additional 10m is likely to be invested on further player
purchases though there is a comprehensive infrastructure review
going on with the Nikara Dragons so don't be surprised if the
money gets spent on a new state of the art data facility.

2 depart Nikara as transformation continues...
The Nikara Dragons have continued their transformation with the
departures of two players who have both been sold to different
leagues across the world. The first to depart the club was
Swedish star Inga Mikkilson who until recently was a core squad
player within the team. The arrival of young French superstar
Georgie Rutter is said to be the primary catalyst for his exit
with Rutter taking up the 4th striker role at the club.
Mikkilson was young at 21 years old but his development was
thought to be behind the standards set by the club. When the
opportunity to send Mikkilson to Manolo Lailai Island FC became
available it was an opportunity the club had to accept.
Whilst it was surprising that the Fijian Premier League was the
destination of choice, what was more surprising was the fee with
a reported £20m having changed hands. No word on what
Mikkilson's salary will be but the thought of living and playing
on a beautiful Fijian Island will not have gone unnoticed.
Almost immediately after news of Mikkilson's departure broke,
there was more news that Danny Invicible's time at the club had
also ended. Whilst not quite the paradise move that Mikkilson
got, Invincible will be moving to the English Riviera in a £19m
deal with Torquay United. The Gulls are said to have been
acquired by the Sovereign Wealth Fund of El Salvador, fresh off
their new found wealth arriving from mining Bitcoin via
volcanoes. This innovative and bold strategy has paid off
exponentially which means the mighty Gulls now possess
transformational cash to fly their way up the leagues.
Invincible was never seen as a viable long term prospect at the
club and had done well to get this far, however his future in
the midfield for Nikara was no more than a fleeting hope and
he'll be much better served living the high life in Torbay.
These two deals, along with the three part deal which saw
Mitsomoto leave Sungard Stadium, mean the club now have an
additional 50m in the coffers. No word yet on whether there's a
specific player the club are targeting with this new found cash
but no doubt they will be desperate to continue to overhaul a
club languishing in mid table of the second tier. Should anyone
have bothered to read this far, firstly god bless your patience,
and secondly if you have anyone under 20 you'd like to sell I'm
all ears!

Nikara announce fan appreciation day amongst major
infrastructure project
Fans of the Nikara Dragons were said to be rejoicing today as
news broke that the club have agreed on a 70 million
infrastructure project to expand the Sinegard Stadium to 95,000
capacity. It's well known across the football world that Nikara
have a loyal fanbase that pay no attention to wins and losses
and simply enjoy the camaraderie of being with friends watching
their beloved heroes try really, really hard. The waiting list
for season tickets is at almost 175k people and the club don't
believe in selling gameday tickets so every one of the current
60,000 capacity goes to season ticket holders and away fans.
Increasing the capacity by 35k fans will ensure that waiting
list drops to 140k which is a massive improvement....
It is thought the building work for the first stage of growth
will be undertaken by Bob Le Builder incorporated who are said
to be experts in fixing problems. Whether they can handle all 7
stages of the growth project is to be seen but its thought the
first stage will take 7 weeks. The entire project will take well
over a year but fits in with the overall project at the Nikara
Dragons to enhance overall income to fit in with FFP
requirements of the league.
Its expected that the club will sell naming rights to the
stadium along with any other sponsorship they possibly can.
There are rumours they are looking to do a deal with Gilbert to
make the clubs balls but there is some anxiety that they will
make the wrong shaped ones. It was pointed out this might
actually help the Dragons win more games but apparently there
are rules in place that say you need a round ball.
To coincide with this the club have announced that the next home
game will be fan appreciation day where any fan over 90 years
old will be allowed 1 free hot dog. Expect a monster atmosphere
to whichever team is unfortunate enough to walk into the
cauldron!

Rumours abound that Nikara are looking at new sponsors
The Nikara Dragons have been undergoing a total transformation
since new ownership took over at the back end of 2023 with the
club reviewing every part of their operation in order to break
the cycle of mediocrity that has infested the club.
Fresh rumours today have stated that the club are looking to
ditch existing sponsor, the iconic Nintendo, once their current
deal is done at the end of the season. The club are looking to
dramatically increase their funding model and its thought that
greater riches might be available elsewhere. Nintendo has been a
loyal sponsor to the club so it is surprising that the club are
looking to bin them off at the first opportunity.
So who are the potential replacements? Betting company bet 366
have placed odds on 4 companies:
2/1 (fav) - Sony - another iconic Japanese brand and company,
they have been losing market share in their core markets for
years. Many put this down to a drop off in the companies
products, however others link to the lack of a marketing
strategy. Signing up with Nikara would certainly start to change
that
3/1 Toyota - everyone knows the car industry is on its knees. I
dont know if Toyota make any fully electric cars but every taxi
in London is a Prius so they've probably got a load of cash.
Nikara need a load of cash so this could be a match made in
hybrid heaven.
11/2 Recruit Holdings - admit it, you've never heard of them. Me
neither but they own a ton of other companies that focus on
recruitment. Recruitment is a key focus for the Nikara Dragons
so maybe there is some synergy here. Probably not though.
100/1 Nintendo - ok this would be surprising but apparently some
13 year old kid has just become the first person to complete
Tetris so maybe they need a new version of something old to
re-energise the company. They would need to pony up some major
Yen to get a new deal done but stranger things have happened in
the past.
Another potential source of revenue for the Nikara Dragons is
stadium naming rights. Sinegard Stadium is an iconic venue but
someone needs to pay for its development into a 95,000 football
paradise. Expect the club and their money grabbing owners to
take whoever chucks in the fattest wad of cash.

Major transfer news at Nikara
Its just 4 days until the transfer window closes but the Nikara
Dragons have made a major move jettisoning two starting players
in return for another member of the creche and a backup squad
player. Its a move that is fairly consistent with their transfer
policy of late but still a move that's sure to be met with both
excitement and worry from the Nikara fans. The deal was struck
with 3rd place Cockney Cockrells yesterday morning giving them a
boost in the arm in their hunt for automatic promotion.
So who is leaving?
Perhaps the biggest concern is the departure of top scorer
Anders Streng. Streng is in the prime of his career at 25 years
old and still has years of top level football in him. With 14
rated shooting there is some room to improve before being a
truly top level marksman but he's only about 270 abs from 15.
Streng also offers excellent 12 rated passing giving him the
look and feel of an old school number 10 in the Dennis Bergkamp
mold. With 8 goals to his name and already having achieved his
minutes target this is a stand out move for the Cockrells.
The second signing is veteran midfielder Ayo Sawogucci.
Sawogucci only signed a new contract last week but apparently he
offended the club chairman by signing his name in red pen. This
appalling behaviour made him public enemy number 1 at Sinegard
Stadium and the fans will be pleased to see the back of him. In
terms of the player they are losing, Sawogucci is a steadying
presence in midfield. He's already hit his minutes target for
the season and with a fairly rounded skill set he'll be a loss.
He has 14 rated passing and with 440 abs to go will probably be
there for a while. He's more confident going forward with 9
shooting to go with 6 tackling and will probably be a squad
player at Cockney.
Joining the Dragons
The most exciting part of this deal for Nikara is the
acquisition of Brad Prittwick who will form a key partnership in
central midfield with Tommy Taylor. Prittwick is just 18 years
old but has been desperate to find a home after a bunch of moves
in the last few months. He's well rounded with 12 tackling and
12 shooting which gives him flexibility in the Nikara 41212
formation. His 14 rated passing is impressive for his age but
developing this will be a key focus as Nikara try to increase
the creativity within the team.
Joining Prittwick is squad player Vitor Melav from the Czech
Republic. The initial focus will be on trying to get Melav over
his minutes target with 338 minutes required from the remaining
450. Losing him so quickly after signing would make this deal
far less attractive so its paramount that he gets played over
the last 5 games. In terms of the player, he's a 13 rated passer
with solid 8 rated tackling and shooting, meaning he's likely
competing for one of the two central midfield berths. It
wouldn't surprise anyone if he is available for transfer at the
end of the season should another club be looking for
reinforcements in midfield. For now he'll provide decent veteran
depth to a team that is quickly looking like a youth team side.

Concern at Nikara over rumoured transfer requests
There is concern in the board room of the Nikara Dragons over a
number of players who are rumoured to be unsettled at the club
over the perceived lack of playing time. It is not thought that
any of the players mentioned below have actually requested to
leave but many agents are stirring the pot as the season starts
to wind to its conclusion.
The biggest names currently being banded around the papers are
two of the clubs foundational players:
Hatori Hanzo
The clubs top goalscorer now that Streng has left and the only
outfield player at the club with a main skill at 16 or above.
Streng is highly thought of at the club and its thought his lack
of minutes have mostly been down to suspensions and injuries. He
has played 2056 minutes so far so is only 165 from hitting his
target but he is also just 1 yellow card away from a suspension
and another injury would throw a major spanner in the works
Tyrod Taylor
Thought of by many as the most highly rated prospect at the
club, he has advanced more than anyone thought possible this
season, thriving in his new midfield role. With 15 rated passing
and 13 rated tackling and shooting, it would be a disaster of
monumental proportions of he didn't make his minutes. It
shouldn't be a problem; he's gained 1995 so far and only needs
133 to make his 2128 target. Again its the risk of injury that
feels the biggest problem here
There are others at the club with much greater risk, though not
as high profile players:
Robin Van Cleef made the unfortunate error of increasing his
skill level from 12 to 13 which drove up his minutes fairly
substantially. The good news is that as a 13 rated defender he's
basically on par with everyone else so not much of a drop off in
skill. Still needs another 252 minutes which is 56% of those
left.
Vitor Melav just joined the team and could be out the door as
quick as he joined given he still needs 338 minutes to hit his
goal. Thats 75% of the available minutes so any injury or
suspension could rock his chances. Probably doesn't hold a
starting role if it wasn't for this need so we'll have to see
how this plays out.
Lionel Gallahad got a lot of minutes early in the season which
is good news because he now needs just 103 to get to his 1780
target. Wouldn't get a look in if it was more but with so little
required I'd expect he'll be a part of the team going into the
off season. Will be available for anyone looking for a squad
player in midfield.
Alain Dutra isn't much better than Gallahad and again might
struggle if not for a load of early season minutes. Now he just
needs 13 minutes so he'll probably get off the bench this week
to never be seen again.
Plenty of fingers are being crossed this week in Nikara as the
club hope to avoid fitness, injury and suspension worries as the
season draws to a close!

Transfer Deadline Day at Nikara
With a matter of hours remaining on transfer deadline day, there
are numerous reports that the phones are hot at Sinegard Stadium
as the Nikara Dragons look to continue the makeover of the squad
in the lead up to next season. Its thought they've sent out a
number of enquiries to teams in the hope to build out a more
robust squad that can handle the ups and downs of a full season.
What are they targeting?
The first and most obvious spot is targeting youth prospects
that will be able to grow with the club in the coming seasons.
This has been reflected in a number of the deals that have
already transpired in the last month and means the overall age
of the team is very low.
The second option the club are exploring are players who require
a fair amount of work to get their minutes in. The Nikara
Dragons have a lean squad where most are already over the
minutes goal which means they have some flexibility. A club
worrying they might lose a player for nothing at the end of the
season might be keen to cash in early to avoid that
circumstance.
Why the urgency?
Well the most obvious reason is the manager lacks patience and
consistently makes poor decisions based on needing to be doing
something. Assuming there's a more positive reason (there's not)
its likely due to the club wanting to get a headstart on off
season activities and the opportunity to further transform the
clubs eco system and playing staff. Also after deadline day
there's sod all to do for 5 weeks...
We don't know whether it will be a busy deadline day across the

Deadline Day deal brings in highly rated prospect
It was no secret that the Nikara Dragons were actively seeking
deals on transfer deadline day, and, with very little action
across the league, they were part of one of the few transfers to
get over the line.
Who was involved?
Departing Nikara was Welsh youngster Llllllannnellllli Gallahad
who leaves the club after (probably) spending his whole career
in Japan. As a player he was a 13 rated midfielder who was just
just 250 abs away from 14. He's got some work to do to become an
all action rounded midfielder but at just 21 year old he has
time on his side.
Joining the Dragons is 16 Egyptian wonderkid Nero Shallahs.
Shallahs is an exciting forward prospect that will compete for
the number 10 role. He's very raw at just 11 rated but with 9
rated passing he'll develop nicely into a rounded forward
prospect and at such a young age he's got the chance to progress
substantially,
Is that all?
Well, no not really. In addition to a nearly 14 rated midfielder
they are also shelling out £20m which tilts this deal firmly in
United 1908's favour. There is seemingly nothing the Dragons
won't do to expand the creche at the club
