Sarnians vs Kyushu Yakauza
Well here's a game to grace any final!
The main question is which Sarnians will show up? The one that
beat Yakuza 5-2 in the league or the one that has leaked goals
like a dam waiting to be demolished.
We will be tinkering with the side that won 2-0 at Wolves in the
league. AdySanders is injured and so wont feature, Tuipers wont
be in the starting line up but everyone else is available to
start. Yakuza will need to shuffle their pack as 15 goal Jack
Groves is suspended and this will be a boost to our confidence
going into the first leg.

Yakuza
Our luck in the cup over the first two seasons hasn't been the
best and yet this season it is no different as we get one of the
teams we where looking to avoid if we was being honest. Sarnians
are just behind us in the table for the league. so this is
probably the tie of the round and as much as we are dreading it
we are looing forward to an open game between two good sides.
Jack Groves is missing for the first leg but as usual we will
juggle for minutes and fitness, but Groves is the only
unavailable player.[/font]

vs Puskas Academia
we have had a run in the cups so far some very big victories
over teams that are not struggling and its been a good
distraction form the woes of the league. Again we have got a
fair draw and w fancy the chances of making the last 8 and thats
not being disrespectful to the Dolphins. The first leg sees no
players struggling or missing for it and a few changes
expected[/font]

AFC Coventry
AWAY TO coventry and its a game we should be winning and
hopefully we wont be o nthe end of a cup shock i will rotate my
team so everyone has a chance of getting there minutes i am
looking for a good performance

Golden Eagles FC face a big game against Division 1's Artic
Storm in the 1st leg of the XBox League Cup Round of 16. Storm
finished in 2nd place in group E with 4 win and 2 defeats, while
Eagles finished 2nd in group A with 3 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss
during the group stages. Eagles will be hoping that having home
advantage for the 1st leg could give them the upper hand in this
tie.
Danik Marashko returns for suspension, while Domenic Torcaso is
still suspended for one more game. It looks likely that Marashko
will return to the starting line up, at the expense of Oscar
Marconato as he was in fine form before his suspension.
Otherwise Eagles are pretty much unchanged from Saturday's 5-0
thrashing of Kingfisher Dolphins. No doubt there could be some
rotation during the game, with Saturday's crunch match against
Cockney Cockrells coming up and a couple of players on 2
yellows. Meanwhile, Storm seem to have a full squad to select
from, but no news of their line up just yet.
"Our defence will be key again during this game, they caused our
opponents last weekend a lot of problems, getting in behind the
back 4, while remaining stalwart at the back themselves. We have
a very good chance to get one foot into the quarter finals
tomorrow."

[move]First leg: Helsinki Hellhounds vs Pompey Chimes[/move]
Overview
This first leg last 16 tie sees Helsinki up against top tier
opposition of Pompey. After a wobble in form in mid season,
Pompey are now comfortably mid table with no threat of
relegation and may be looking at a late run at the top three.
Already out of the EA cup, this represents their only realistic
chance of silverware. They may therefore be aiming to keep their
players as fit as possible for the two ties.
Helsinki are trying to balance their small squad across multiple
fronts. Promotion is likely the number one target, but the club
will also be eyeing a cup run - although the recent cup draw
(away to Real Nerrad) may make progress in the EA cup
significantly less likely! They know that the home leg will be
crucial to progressing in this tie and at the very least will
not want to lose to their more illustrious opponents and ensure
the tie is still alive come next week's second leg.
Team news
Hellhounds have a fully available squad to choose form. No
injuries or suspensions thankfully given we are running on a
small squad. Fitness concerns continue to linger though with 7
first teamers short of full fitness as the hectic period of
games continues with two matches per week.
Pompey have just the one suspension with Sol Campbell out for
one match having reached 6 disciplinary points last time out.
Their team looks in better overall fitness with all players at
or above 98% fitness. Could that prove telling as the game moves
into the latter stages?
Form guide
Helsinki Hellhounds WLWWWW (league form)
Four wins on the bounce for the Hellhounds as they continue to
concede plenty but score more than their opposition and at the
end of the day that is what counts.
Pompey Chimes LLLDWW (league form)
Pompey look to be turning their season around after a string of
defeats. They will be hopeful that this form will feed through
to their cup form.
Players to watch
Pompey's star man is clearly goalie David James. He may be
nearing the twilight of his career but his 18 stopping rating is
unrivalled. It will therefore be interesting to see whether
Laszlo Kiss with his 18 shooting can find a way past the wily
old stopper.
Manager's mouthful
"I hope it's going to be a good game. My concern is that we've
been out shooting our opponents but they've been far more
successful at converting and we're up against an 18 stopping GK.
So if we each have 20 shots then I worry we'll lose 3 - 1! We
need to be more clinical in front of goal and look to Niro to
keep improving his form."
