very happy with the win after dominating the game i thought it
was going to be 1 of those games after missing loads of chances
but brown popped up and showed everyone how its done by being
man of the match and scoring the only goal lets try keep this up

Eagles returned to winning ways with a convincing 3-0 win over
un-managed R V Xeonnon. This was even with star striker, Pavel
Chernyshev named on the bench, giving Milos Potkozarač a
chance to start. No doubt manager Dave Rosewell obviously
keeping in mind the up and coming league cup game.
The home side took the lead in the 42nd minute, as captain
Domenic Torcaso found Potkozarač in bags of space and the
young Serbian hit a thunderous strike! Taavi Ruusumäki then
scored his first goal for the club, to make it 2-0 in the 60th
minute with an assist from Darío Bourrin. The Frenchman then
turned provider again in the 72nd minute, this time with an inch
perfect pass to substitute Pavel Chernyshev and the Russian
scored with a cheeky chip over the hapless Zandor Steele.
After the match, manager Dave Rosewell said "It is good to get
back on winning terms, while claiming a clean sheet. They (RV
Xeonnon) played very defensively, so they were difficult to
break down, but the lads didn't get frustrated and we controlled
the midfield. So I am very pleased with the result. "
Also, Darío Bourrin was awarded Man of the Match with his
commanding performance in midfield and 2 assists.

Eagles now make the long trip to face Nikara Dragons in the
first round of the League cup on Wednesday and will be hoping
for a repeat performance of their 2-1 victory from pre-season.

A win at last! Sleuth a couple of enforced changes the side were
clearly out to make a statement and delivered in style!
A brace for Karrar and another for Pavlov to take his tally to 5
from midfield so far this season.
Hopefully our season starts now.
