[move]KYUSHU YAKUZA CONFIRM JAMES BUCKNALL APPOINTMENT[/move]
Kyushu Yakuza have confirmed the appointment of James Bucknall
as the club’s new manager. The club would also like to place on
record its thanks to long-serving manager Bruffio for his
service and contribution during his time in charge.
Kyushu Yakuza currently sit seventh in the league after four
matches, having recorded two wins and two defeats. Bucknall
arrives with the expectation of building on the foundations
already in place and helping the club climb the table as the
season develops. The focus will be on bringing consistency to
performances, understanding the strengths of the current squad
and setting clear standards from the outset.
His first league fixture will come at home against Golden Eagles
at Mitutoyo Arena. The match will provide Bucknall with an early
opportunity to assess the side in competitive league action and
begin establishing the approach he wants to bring to the team.
Before then, attention will turn to the Xbox Trophy, where
Kyushu Yakuza currently sit joint top after taking four points
from their opening two fixtures, with one victory and one draw.
Matches against Rael Nerrad and Darlington Allstars remain,
alongside two meetings with Hartlepool United. Bucknall’s first
game in charge will be the away fixture there, adding a personal
element to his managerial debut as he is a lifelong supporter of
the club.
Over the coming weeks, Bucknall will take time to assess the
squad before making decisions regarding recruitment. His
approach is expected to be measured and considered, with no
desire to rush into deals before fully evaluating the players
already available to him. The club are also expected to take up
a scouting opportunity in the coming days, with one eye on both
the current campaign and the long-term future of Kyushu Yakuza
as Bucknall begins shaping his plans for the club.

[move]KYUSHU YAKUZA COMPLETE SIGNING OF REN KUROBANE[/move]
Kyushu Yakuza have completed the signing of 16 year old Japanese
goalkeeper Ren Kurobane. Kurobane arrives as a player for the
future, with the youngster now beginning the next stage of his
development after putting pen to paper with the football club.
Born and raised in Kyushu, Kurobane comes from a difficult
background. Members of his family have longstanding links to a
local criminal organisation, meaning that environment has always
been close to him while growing up. As he entered his early
teenage years, Kurobane began to develop a real love for
football, using the game as a distraction from the criminal
lifestyle that surrounded his family. Goalkeeping eventually
became the path he wanted to pursue and offered him something
positive to focus on away from that environment.
There had been word on the streets about Kurobane’s quality
between the sticks, which eventually reached the attention of
Kyushu Yakuza. The club sent a scout to watch the young
goalkeeper in action and were impressed by what they saw. There
is plenty of development still ahead of him, but his potential
between the sticks was enough to earn him the chance to begin
his career within the football club.
The decision was made to send Kurobane on loan away from Kyushu
almost immediately. Regular competitive football is one reason
behind the move, but the change of surroundings is also seen as
an important step for the teenager. Being away from home will
give him the chance to concentrate entirely on football and
distance himself from some of the influences that have
surrounded him during his early life.
His loan spell will now provide his first real experience of
senior football. Playing regularly against older and more
experienced opposition should give Kurobane the opportunity to
improve his decision making, handling and confidence while
adjusting to the demands of the game.
For Ren Kurobane, the next stage is about making the most of
this opportunity. His background will always form part of his
story, but the 16 year old now has the chance to create a
different future for himself and begin making his name through
what he does on the pitch.
