[center]EAGLES WEATHER THE STORM TO KEEP 100% START[/center]
[center]Golden Eagles FC 4-2 Artic Storm[/center]
Eagles kept pace with leader Hellhounds with a win over long
time rivals Storm in a classic match, with both sides playing
some lovely free-flowing football. Eagles looked super sharp
with 17 shots on target, but Storm had 11 shots on target
themselves meaning that both keepers had their work cut out for
them. Olli Halainen in the Eagles goal had a great game, making
11 saves with his opposite number Ed Jackson made 14. Juan
Álvarez got the hosts up and running after 15 minutes with a
long range strike. And a couple of minutes later, German
centre-back Amadeus Rahr (doing his usual centre forward
impression) put Eagles two goals up.
DeDavis Roy halved the deficit in the 28th minute with a
delicate chip over Halainen, but Steve Bowen quickly restored
Eagles' lead with a solo effort that left the Storm defence in
sixes and sevens, 3-1! Manfred Hanoi quickly got Storm back in
the game however, as his 32nd minute strike kit the underside of
the bar and bounced on the line before it was cleared, but the
goal was given. What a game we have on our hands and it had only
been 30 odd minutes.
It could have easily been 5 or 6-2before the hour mark, with
Eagles looking deadlier after the break as they looked to
re-extended their lead. Their 4th goal finally arrived in the
63rd minute, captain Angelo Nazari's pass found Diog Guillems in
bags of space. The Portugese midfielder, enjoying an advanced
role today scored with a vicious shot to make it 4-2. Somehow no
more goals were scored in the final 30 minutes, but there was
still plenty of action. Brilliant game, Eagles join Hellhounds
as the only other team with 4 wins from their first 4 league
games. They stay in second on goal difference as the Helsinki
goal machines have +17 goal difference, while Eagles have +10
and both are 2 points ahead of Rael Nerrad.

[center]Andean Incas 5-2 Shymkent Scimitars[/center]
This was a painful result for the Kazakh side, whose 100% start
to their Division Two campaign was obliterated at The Beach
Front by a rampant Andean Incas. However, the score line was
perhaps a bit harsh for the visitors, as stats wise they had
more shots, possession, tackles and passes. However, Scimitars
were perhaps guilty of making some defensive mistakes and
against a team like Incas that became their downfall. Xalbador
Roa got the Incas off to a flyer, scoring in the 9th minute
after dispossessing a defender and he made it 2-0 a minute later
as he rounded Adit Abbas to put the ball in the back of an empty
net. Keeper should have stood his ground more there.
Vahid Gholizadeh smashed the ball home in the 16th minute to get
Scimitars back in the game from Rokvi Jóasson's pass. There was
a calamitous moment just after the hour mark where Abel
Rabadán's back pass had a bit too much on it, it beat Abbas, but
thankfully went wide. As Scimitars pushed more players forward
to get back on terms they were caught out by Coreja Ábalos and
Dávid Zambrana, the former providing the assist for the latter
as Incas went 3-1 up.
And Diego Caetano made it four with a couple minutes of normal
time left, before Vítor Costa was sent off for bringing down
Khalid Kianan who was clean through on goal. Umar Karimov's free
kick found Kianan and the Iranian attacking midfielder gave his
side a glimmer of hope as his screamer of a shot squirmed
through Rico De Santos's legs. 4-2! But any hopes of a miracle
were cut short a minute later, Amado Lugones adding the cherry
on top for Incas and piling on the misery for Scimitars. A
gutting day for Scimitars, but it wasn't all bad news however,
they are still in a great position. The Kazakhs slip to 3rd and
are only a point behind new leaders Dyer Island Penguins.

🌟 In front of a passionate crowd at the Aerodium
Stadium, Rix Bombardiers produced a thrilling display of
attacking football and were finally rewarded with a dramatic
stoppage-time victory. From the opening whistle, the home side
controlled possession and continuously tested Matt Murray, whose
heroics kept Shrews FC alive. The breakthrough arrived in the
13th minute when Rihards Klavinskis curled a free kick against
the post, only for the ball to ricochet off the unfortunate
goalkeeper and into the net. Despite creating chance after
chance, Rix went into halftime holding only a slender 1-0
advantage. ⚡🎯🥅
⚔️ Shrews FC refused to surrender and gradually
grew into the contest after the break. Their persistence paid
off in the 71st minute when Druani Moamms rose brilliantly to
meet a long delivery and headed home the equalizer, silencing
the home supporters. Suddenly the match had a completely
different feel, with Shrews sensing a valuable away point while
Rix pushed desperately for a winner. Both goalkeepers made
important interventions, and the tension around the stadium
became almost unbearable. 😲🧤💥
🎭 Just when it seemed the spoils would be shared,
football delivered one final twist. In the 90th minute, Rihards
Klavinskis found space inside the area and fired a shot that
took an awkward bounce in front of Matt Murray before sneaking
into the net. The stadium erupted as players and supporters
celebrated wildly. Rix Bombardiers fully deserved the victory
after dominating possession (61%), creating 17 attempts, and
producing wave after wave of pressure. A dramatic winner, a
heroic away goalkeeper, and a performance full of intensity made
this one of the most entertaining matches of the season so far.

💎 Tata Stadium witnessed a spectacular footballing drama
as Bombay Sapphire and Rael Nerrad produced one of the most
entertaining matches of the season. The home side exploded out
of the blocks, with Katyayana Vad opening the scoring after just
four minutes with a dipping effort that completely deceived
Royston Vasey. Although Rael Nerrad fought back through
L_Erriparri, Bombay responded with ruthless attacking football
before halftime. A second goal from the inspired Katyayana Vad
and a thunderous strike from Bo Nix gave the hosts a commanding
3-1 advantage, leaving the visitors staring at defeat.

⚔️ Yet Rael Nerrad refused to surrender. Their
comeback began on the hour mark when Dor Amsalam calmly
converted a dangerous free kick after Bombay were reduced to ten
men following Acarya Shah's reckless red card. Suddenly the tide
turned. Wave after wave of attacks rolled toward the Bombay goal
as Oli Marcentos and Anders Limt pulled the strings. Despite
Dyal Lata making several outstanding saves, pressure finally
told in the 77th minute when Howell Parry rose high and powered
home a magnificent header to complete the comeback and stun the
home crowd. 🌊🎯🔥
🎬 The closing stages were pure chaos. Bombay Sapphire,
inspired by the brilliant Katyayana Vad, launched relentless
attacks in search of a winner, but the heroic Royston Vasey
seemed determined to deny them. Save after save kept Rael alive
as chances flew wildly at both ends. Akash Sriva somehow missed
a golden late opportunity, while Howell Parry squandered a
dramatic chance in stoppage time. When the final whistle
sounded, both teams were left exhausted after an unforgettable
3-3 draw packed with goals, controversy, passion, and
breathtaking goalkeeping. 🧤⚡🏆

Ironworks blown away as Cockney Cockrells turn the screw
There was a brief moment when Thames Ironworks might have dared
to believe this was going to be their afternoon. There was also
a brief moment when everyone stopped laughing.
Then Cameron_Hart scored after seven minutes, Anders_Streng
headed a second eight minutes later, and the Cockney Cockrells
suddenly looked like a side who had turned up with a plan —
while Ironworks looked like they had misplaced theirs.
Thames did manage to pull one back through Danni just before
half-time, giving the Ironworks faithful a glimmer of hope. At
2-1, the comeback was still alive.
Unfortunately, somebody forgot to tell Anders_Streng.
The Cockney striker completed his hat-trick with goals in the
64th and 80th minutes, the latter effectively rubbing salt into
wounds that were already approaching industrial levels.
The numbers make grim reading for Ironworks. Cockney Cockrells
had 61% possession, 20 attempts and 13 shots on target, compared
with just 39% possession and five efforts on target from Thames.
They also produced 16 key passes to Ironworks' seven.
And then there was R_Huolier.
The Ironworks goalkeeper made 10 saves, which tells you
everything you need to know. Without him, this could easily have
been considerably uglier.
But the real damage came from Streng, who finished with four
shots and three goals and walked away with Man of the Match
honours.
For Thames, Danni at least showed some fight and grabbed the
goal, but there was simply too much pressure coming their way.
Final verdict: 4-1.
The Cockneys had us over, turned the screw and eventually made
it look embarrassingly comfortable.
One goal gave us hope.
Three more killed it.

Flint 0 - 5 Helsinki
My oh my, what a start to the league campaign it has been. Four
wins from four. 18 goals scored. 1 conceded. Nothing lasts
forever and the next loss is potentially always around the
corner, so the fans, players, staff and manager will enjoy it
while it lasts. They got the tactics right on this one and it
paid dividends. In form forward Karrar got them going early on
with a 2nd minute strike and then it was defenders to the fore!
Jalen Hurts, the best shooting defender in the league got a
brace before half time that made the points sure and then
Shephard and Evans added goals after the break to round off a
comfortable victory.
Notable performances beyond the goal scorers including Hikkara
keeping a clean sheet, Prochazka with two assists and Cygnus
with his 4th assist of the season already. Next game is back to
xbox cup action.

Flint 0 - 5 Helsinki
Going into the game against such a strong side we decided to
play to our strengths, but the gulf in class was apparent from
the get go.
The away side fully controlling proceedings and although we
created chances, the away side created enough to score 7 or 8.
That puts us on 6 points out of a possible 12, which is more
than I thought we would have at this point, but the season is
long and staying away from the bottom 3 will be difficult.
This is early days with this team though and by EOS I’m hoping
to have a few more youth players in the setup. It’s a marathon
not a sprint and there will be more results like this on the
journey!
