⚽🏆 EPIC XBOX LEAGUE TROPHY BATTLE 🏆⚽
🔥 United 1908 1-1 Rix Bombardiers 🔥
Under the floodlights of Greenland Park, the match unfolded like
a dramatic chess battle between two evenly matched rivals.
🏟️⚔️ Rix Bombardiers controlled more
possession and threatened early through Lukass Vapne and R.
Krollis, while United 1908 relied on quick counterattacks and
the dangerous duo of Chaz Masters and Georgy Orvid. Both
goalkeepers produced outstanding saves in a tense opening half,
with shots rattling posts and bars but neither side able to find
the breakthrough before the interval. 🧤🚀
The deadlock was finally shattered in spectacular fashion just
after the restart. ⚡ In the 50th minute, Jupe Twarmway
unleashed a breathtaking strike into the top corner, sending the
United supporters into celebration. 🎯💥 Their joy
lasted only four minutes, however, as O. Dzenitis responded with
a powerful header to level the contest. From that point onward
the game became an end-to-end thriller, with chances flying at
both goals. Georgy Orvid, Chaz Masters and Lule Patrobe came
close for United, while R. Klavinskis and Dzenitis repeatedly
tested the resilience of Javier Ilhern. 🌪️⚽
As the clock ticked into stoppage time, both teams searched
desperately for a winner. ⏳🔥 United struck the
woodwork and forced heroic saves from D. Veisbuks, while Rix
came within inches through Klavinskis and a series of dangerous
set pieces. In the end, neither side could land the decisive
blow, and the final whistle confirmed a thrilling and
hard-fought 1-1 draw. 🤝⚽ It was a match filled

COVENTRY GET REVENGE
AFC Coventry 3-1 Golden Eagles FC
Eagles were handed their first defeat since their League Cup
final loss to Yakuza last season. Coventry looked the better
side, with Eagles resting key players such as Darío Bourrin and
Pavel Chernyshev, plus missing first choice keeper Rafael
Alvarado. Olli Halainen did an admirable job between the sticks
making 9 saves, although he was at fault for the Coventry's
first goal when D. Dublin lobbed him in the 2nd minute. Not much
he could do about S. Froggatt's 18th minute goal however, the
fault there was Steve Bowen who let the midfielder out-muscle
him. However, there were questions raised about the validity of
the goal, as the ball cannoned off the underside of the bar onto
the line, but the goal was given none the less. Froggatt put the
hosts 3 goals ahead in the 24th minute with a brilliant strike,
no keeper was stopping that thunderbolt. Eagles hadn't been in
this position since an away defeat to Hellhounds early last
season and the last time they conceded 3 or more was their 4-4
draw with Sarnians.
The visitors did not give up however, Taavi Ruusumäki almost
scored a bizarre goal, as a cross was cleared only to hit him on
the rear end and just whistled past the post. Halainen then let
a shot squeeze through his legs, but his blushes were saved when
D. Dublin's shot went wide. Eagles kept plugging away, evening
bringing on Julio Xavier, but the Mexican striker could make
little difference. When Eagles did eventually grab a goal, it
was nothing more than a consolation as Xavier was fouled in the
box by S. Ogrizovic in the 90th minute. And Jussi Härmäläinen
stepped up to score his 3rd goal of the season. "Not the result
we would have hoped for, Olli had some shaky moments, but he
still did a great job to keep us int he game, we just struggled
to make as much headway as our hosts." Commented Dave Rosewell.
The loss mean Eagles are in 2nd place on 3, while Coventry are
top with 2 wins in 2, while Artic Storm and Highland Rangers
have a point apiece.

SCIMITARS DO DOUBLE OVER DRAGONS
Dusseldorf Dragons 1-3 Shymkent Scimitars
Scimitars secured a 3-1 win over their German hosts in their
X-Box League Trophy match, as they beat them twice in a week.
This game was perhaps a little tighter than the score line
suggests, but Scimitars were a little more deadly going
forwards. Tarek Madibo got the visitors off the mark in the 25th
minute with a delightful chip over D. Friedhelm. Ulan Iskakov
grabbed the second goal; Abel Rabadán's throw in landed at the
Kazakhstani midfielder's feet, he turned, broke through the
defence before rounding the keeper to score.
Hans Kleinns got Dragons back in the game just after the hour
mark, his shot hit the post before bouncing off Scimitars keeper
Adit Abbas. That was pretty unlucky for the Indonesian keeper.
Turkmenistani attacking midfielder Malik Niyazov restored
Scimitars' two-goal advantage in the 67th minute with the assist
from Vladilsav Mochalov. Stefan Titus thought he had reduced the
deficit again for the hosts a few minutes later, but his goal
was ruled out for a foul on a defender, much to the displeasure
of the home crowd. Late on, Rabadán was lucky not to give away
a penalty for shirt pulling, another foot or so and it would
have been. The resulting free kick from Raymond Reine didn't
amount to much however, as it sailed over the wall and the
crossbar. The match ended in victory for the visitors, meaning
they are in 3rd place with 3 points, Dragons below them on 0,
while Rix and United 1908 are above with 4 points each.

Tough Game Against a Better Side – Ironworks Dig Deep for a
Point
Thames Ironworks were made to work extremely hard for their
point as they drew 2-2 with HNK Dubrovnik Devils in a fiercely
contested XBox League Trophy encounter.
Ironworks could hardly have asked for a better start.
Puerte_Fuerto put them ahead after just two minutes, attacking a
low cross brilliantly to head past Dmitry_Semak. The lead,
however, lasted only until the 15th minute when Gil_Ramos was
booked and the Devils were awarded a penalty. Robert_Franke made
no mistake from the spot to level the scores.
Dubrovnik looked the more threatening side for periods, with
Daniel_Kvesic particularly impressive in midfield. R_Huolier was
called upon several times and produced an excellent save to deny
the visitors a second goal.
Against the run of some of the play, Ironworks regained the lead
on 29 minutes. K_Naranbold's effort created the opportunity and
Puerte_Fuerto reacted quickest, sending a header over the
goalkeeper and into the net for his second of the night.
The second half began badly, though, as Dom_Pavlowsi's shot took
an awkward bounce and left Huolier stranded, bringing Dubrovnik
level at 2-2.
From there it became a real battle. Ironworks had opportunities
to win it, with Danni hitting the post and several other chances
narrowly missing the target. Dubrovnik continued to threaten,
but the Ironworks defence stood firm, with Richard_Jones
outstanding at the back.
The statistics underline just how close the contest was:
possession was exactly 50-50 and the teams had 11 and 10
attempts respectively. Dubrovnik did force more efforts on
target, but Ironworks refused to buckle.
Puerte_Fuerto deservedly took the Man of the Match award after
his two goals, while Huolier's four saves proved equally
important.
In truth, this was a game against a better side on the night,
but Ironworks can take real credit from the result. They were
under pressure, twice had their lead cancelled out, yet kept
fighting until the final whistle.

XBOX LEAGUE CUP – POST‑MATCH REVIEW
Pompey Chimes 0–4 Flint Tropics
Flint Tropics delivered a dominant, four‑goal performance
at Southsea Stadium, overwhelming Pompey Chimes with superior
structure, intensity and clinical finishing. Pompey attempted to
control possession early, but Flint Tropics’ transitions,
defensive organisation and attacking sharpness quickly took
over.
The early warning came when Guil Esteboso struck the bar inside
two minutes, setting the tone for a relentless attacking
display. Bridginho’s movement caused constant problems, Waratah
Bok found pockets of space, and the Tropics midfield repeatedly
broke through Pompey’s defensive shape. David James produced
several important saves to keep the score down, but the pressure
was mounting.
The breakthrough arrived on 33 minutes. Esteboso beat two
defenders, nutmegged the goalkeeper and watched the ball bounce
off the upright before rolling in. It was a moment of individual
brilliance that changed the momentum completely.
Just before halftime, Jazzy Jeff+ — already the standout
defender on the pitch — spun sharply and fired a powerful strike
into the net. Flint Tropics went into the interval two goals
ahead and fully in control.
The second half showcased disciplined game management. Smart
substitutions maintained intensity, the defensive line stayed
compact, and Pompey’s attempts to switch into attacking roles
were shut down immediately. Flint Tropics absorbed pressure,
countered decisively, and waited for the right moments to finish
the match.
In the 84th minute, Bridginho finally got the goal his
performance deserved with a composed finish. Three minutes
later, S. Doubleday rose for a header that took a heavy
deflection and sealed the result. Pompey pushed late, but Flint
Tropics were too organised, too confident and too sharp. When
the final whistle sounded, the scoreline reflected the
dominance: four goals, complete control, and a statement
victory.
Top 3 Players on the Pitch
1. Jazzy Jeff+ (Flint Tropics)
Man of the Match
Four key tackles
Scored a crucial long‑range goal
Controlled the right side defensively and offensively
2. Guil Esteboso (Flint Tropics)
Scored the opening goal
Constant attacking threat
Three shots and excellent movement throughout
3. David James (Pompey Chimes)
Made several crucial saves
Prevented a heavier defeat
Showed composure under relentless pressure
A complete performance from Flint Tropics — disciplined,
explosive and tactically superior. Pompey Chimes fought hard,
but Flint Tropics were simply on another level from start to
finish.
This leaves Flint joint top of the group with 4 points with
Sarnians, who they play next! It’ll be a tough test but we aim
to make our mark on this cup and in the league!
