Flyboys 1986 2 - 4 AFC Coventry
A really impressive attacking performance from us here and I
thought we fully deserved the win. To score four away from home
against a decent side was really pleasing, especially
considering how open the game was at times. We started brightly
and could easily have been ahead before we finally took the
lead, with Guille going close twice after excellent work from
Michael Doyle. The breakthrough eventually came in the 11th
minute when Doyle once again picked out Guille, who calmly
chipped the keeper to put us in front.
Flyboys responded well and levelled through a superb strike from
Pedro after 16 minutes, but I thought our reaction to conceding
was excellent. Just three minutes later Rior Kirkwell slipped
Shepherd through and he restored our lead with a really composed
finish. From there we looked dangerous every time we went
forward, with Shepherd missing a couple more good opportunities
before Dneprov extended the lead just before half time with a
well taken header after another excellent ball in from Poltorak.
The second half was much more controlled from us and we never
really looked like letting the game slip away. Pollock added a
fourth shortly after the restart following another good move,
and from there we were able to manage the game quite
comfortably. Flyboys still carried a threat going forward and
Lucas Haak was called into action a few times with some very
solid saves, while Hanzo grabbed a late consolation with an
excellent finish into the top corner.
Michael Doyle picked up the Player of the Match award and
rightly so. He completely controlled the game creatively with
eight key passes and was involved in so much of our attacking
play throughout. Poltorak was outstanding as well with four key
passes and an assist, while Kirkwell also contributed two
assists as the midfield completely dominated possession. We
finished with 67% of the ball, 22 key passes to their 9, and
created 20 attempts on goal overall, which really tells the
story of the game.

performance as Dyer Island Penguins tore through Rix Bombardiers
with authority and flair. From the very first whistle, the
Penguins played with confidence and purpose, moving the ball
sharply and constantly stretching the visitors’ defence. An
early breakthrough set the tone, and once the Bombardiers were
reduced to ten men, the tide fully turned. The home crowd sensed
something special was coming—and they were absolutely right.

🎯 The second half belonged entirely to the Penguins, led
by an unstoppable attacking display. Goals flowed, chances came
in waves, and the Bombardiers were pinned back, surviving only
thanks to a busy goalkeeper. The Penguins’ pressing, movement,
and creativity were relentless, while their defence stayed calm
and disciplined whenever danger threatened. This was dominance
in its purest form—efficient, confident, and merciless.

🔚 Despite the heavy scoreline, Rix Bombardiers showed
moments of resilience and individual quality, especially in
midfield, but the red card proved decisive. As the final whistle
blew, the scoreboard reflected the story of the match: one team
clinical and inspired, the other overrun and outmatched. A
statement win for Dyer Island Penguins—and a night to remember

💥 Bomb’ay Sapphire exploded out of the blocks, scoring
inside the very first minute and immediately setting a frantic
tone at a packed Tata Stadium. Reykjavik Reapers responded
bravely, pushing numbers forward and finding a deserved
equaliser through a clever free kick. The first half was
chaotic, physical, and emotionally charged, reaching boiling
point when Reykjavik were reduced to ten men after a reckless
red card. Despite the numerical advantage, Bomb’ay had to work
hard, with both sides trading chances and defensive grit
defining the remainder of the half. ⚔️🔥
🎭 The second half was a story of pressure, patience, and
personality. Bomb’ay Sapphire dominated possession, probing
relentlessly, while the Reapers defended deep and tried to
strike on the counter. The breakthrough finally arrived through
a surging run and thunderous finish from deep, igniting the
crowd and shifting momentum decisively. Tactical switches
followed, with Bomb’ay tightening control and Reykjavik gambling
in attack, leaving space behind. The match opened up
dramatically, with chances flying at both ends and goalkeepers

EAGLES GET SOME PAYBACK
Golden Eagles FC 2-1 Pompey Chimes
Eagles managed to get a measure of revenge against the team who
knocked them out of the EA KO Cup in the penultimate game of the
season. However, they did look tired and shaky after their
League Cup final defeat with many of the player having played
the full game. So it took a bit of time and some fresher legs to
find the opening goal for the hosts, as Jussi Härmäläinen scored
with a headed goal in the 27th minute.
V. Pericard equalised for Pompey on the stroke of half-time as
his shot dipped suddenly over Rafael Alvarado, leaving the
keeper flat-footed. But Juan Álvarez got Eagles back in front in
the 78th minute to give them the win and an important 3 points
as they look to fend off Yakuza for 3rd place. 3rd place might
not be where Eagles hoped to be at this point int he season, but
it will at least bring in a good cash prize.
