Helsinki 3 - 1 Bombay (4 - 1 on AGG)
This one was much tighter than the final scoreline suggests.
Bombay gave a good account of themselves and having taken the
lead on 16 mins it was all square on agregate for 7mins until
HarrisJones levelled on the night, 2 - 1 on aggregate. That was
how it stayed until Helsinki were bailed out by the substitutes
with Asanovic and then Maeta grabbing late goals to put some
additional gloss on the scoreline.
Results elsewhere saw the four strongest teams comfortably
progress as expected and we look forward to finding out who our
semi final opponents are.

⚔️🔥 Helsinki Hellhounds vs. Bomb’ay
Sapphire — A Night of Thunder at Slush Puppy Stadium

In front of 54,000 roaring fans, the Helsinki Hellhounds
unleashed a fierce second‑half surge to overpower Bomb’ay
Sapphire in a dramatic 3–1 victory. The match began with
Sapphire’s early aggression, culminating in Amish Gazdar’s
⚡ razor‑sharp strike off the crossbar and in. But
Helsinki refused to crumble—after waves of pressure, C.
Harris‑Jones curled in a beautiful equaliser, sending the
stadium into a frenzy. From that moment, momentum shifted like a
tidal wave.
As the second half unfolded, the Hellhounds became utterly
relentless. Their passing triangles sliced through the Sapphire
formation, and substitutions added new firepower. The turning
point came when A. Asanović calmly slotted home the
go‑ahead goal after brilliant build‑up play. With
Sapphire scrambling to respond, a moment of pure magic struck:
Yuya Maeta drifted inside, found space, and curved a clinical
finish into the net, sealing the result and igniting the stands.
Bomb’ay Sapphire fought bravely—rattling posts, demanding saves,
and pushing until the final whistle—but Helsinki’s control of
possession and surgical execution in key moments proved
decisive. It was a match full of drama, woodwork, yellow cards,
and long‑range thunderbolts… but above all, it was a night
that belonged to the Hellhounds.

HAAK HEROICS NOT ENOUGH
Golden Eagles FC 3-1 AFC Coventry
Eagles saw off a spirited Coventry as they advanced to the
League Cup semi-finals with an 4-2 aggregate victory. Coventry
had plenty of fight in them, most notably from Lucas Haak with
his 12 saves, but had limited chances themselves.
Eagles got off to a flyer, stunning the visitors after only 2
minute with a goal from Julio Xavier who latched onto Juan
Álvarez's long ball. An amazing long throw from Diog Guillems
was then headed home by Pavel Chernyshev in the 23rd minute as
Eagles took firm control of the tie.
And 2 minutes later, Xavier grabbed his 2nd goal of the match,
Guillems again involved this time with a neat pass. 5 minutes
from the break and Coventry grabbed themselves a goal, an
uncharacteristic mistake from captain Taavi Ruusumäki let G.
Shepard in and he smashed the ball past Rafeal Alvarado to give
the visitors some hope.
However, there was to be no more goals in the second-half,
Coventry were unable to get another shot on target, while Haak
kept the scoreline honest as Eagles continued to pepper him with
shots.
Eagles join Hellhounds, Nerrad and Yakuza in the draw for the
semi-finals with league cup being dominated by 4 of the top 5
from division one. Regardless of who they end up facing, it'll
be a tough, but exciting tie!
