Hartlepool 3 - 5 Helsinki
Wow, what a breathless first leg as these two teams went at it
from the off. Karrar showed his class to get Helsinki ahead
early on but Gary Shaw soon hit back to level matters. Prochazka
then got Helsinki back ahead but that lead lasted only 5 minutes
as Shaw made it 2 - 2. At half time both sets of teams were
probably quite happy. Hartlepool to still be in the game,
Helsinki to not be behind.
Into the second half and Helsinki went ahead for the third time,
again through the impressive Karrar. After a host of
substitutions Helsinki got their 4th goal to lead 4 - 2 but
within 60 seconds Shephard gave away penalty (just two mins
after coming on) and Olaff reduced the arrears to 1 goal. In a
frentic closing period both teams had chances and it was Karrar
who made the most grabbing his hat trick and sealing an
entertaining 5 - 3 win and a healthy lead to take into the home
leg next week.

🐍⚔️🟥 Red‑Card Fury and Missed
Chances — Cobras & Ironworks Fight to a Chaotic 0–0 Draw
The Snakepit roared from the opening whistle as Delhi Cobras
tore into the match with fearless aggression. Varuni Chetti
twisted past defenders with dancing footwork, unleashing early
strikes that sent ripples of panic through the Ironworks back
line. Dasra Munshi followed with a wicked turn and a shot that
clattered off the post and back onto Huolier’s spine before
rolling wide, leaving the keeper — and the crowd — stunned.
Every attack felt like a spark on dry tinder, yet somehow Thames
Ironworks survived the opening firestorm.
Ironworks then grew claws of their own. Puerte Feurto launched
an acrobatic bicycle kick, Gil Ramos surged forward with venom,
and David Newman tried to force the breakthrough — but every
moment of danger crashed against the unshakeable presence of
Dyal Lata between the Cobras’ posts. The midfield became a
battlefield of sliding tackles, crunching challenges, and
desperate clearances. The tension rose with each missed chance,
each gasp from the supporters, each ball rolling agonisingly
wide of the target.
Then came the explosion. In the 88th minute, Raya Herreira lost
his composure and flew into a reckless two‑footed lunge,
earning a straight red card 🟥 and igniting fury in the
stands. With Ironworks down to ten, Cobras threw everything
forward — crosses, volleys, long‑range efforts — but time
and luck betrayed them. Huolier clawed out the final attempts,
and when the whistle cut through the chaos, the scoreline held
at 0–0, a match overflowing with emotion, mistakes, brilliance,
and drama.
⭐ Top 3 Players — Delhi Cobras
🧱 Guialli Pyus — Immense defensive reading and a
constant wall against Ironworks pressure.
🧤 Dyal Lata — Brilliant saves, flawless positioning, and
complete command of the penalty area.
⚡ Varuni Chetti — The spark in every Cobras attack,
carving open chances with pace and flair.
⭐ Top 3 Players — Thames Ironworks
🛡️ Richard Jones — Man of the Match; four perfect
tackles and unwavering defensive control.
⚔️ Puerte Feurto — The most dangerous forward on
the pitch with skill, power and invention.
🧤 R. Huolier — Key saves throughout, especially in
high‑pressure late moments.
🐍➡️💎 Final Match as Delhi Cobras
This transition is especially symbolic, as the club’s most
recent fixture marked the final match ever played under the
Delhi Cobras name. The match now stands as the closing chapter
of the Cobras’ history — an emotional farewell to a legacy
defined by resilience, passion, and identity — before stepping
boldly into the future as Bomb’ay Sapphire FC.

EAGLES IN COMMAND IN LAST 16
Sunset Knights 0-5 Golden Eagles FC
Eagles dominated in the League Cup last 16 1st leg as they put
one foot into the quarter finals. Juan Álvarez got the visitors
off to a flyer as he poked home Kai Matsumoto's corner after 4
minutes. Julio Xavier made it 2-0 28th minute after picking up
Vilo Fluess' lay-off as the Mexican nutmegged the keeper.
The scoreline could have been mich bigger going into the break,
but Lev Yashin did his best to keep a rampant Eagles at bay. But
there was nothing he could do about Pavel Chernyshev's
piledriver shot on the hour mark, the Russian striker left Nick
Carter for dead and buried the shot past his fellow countryman.
5 mintues later Fluess looked for a 1-2 with Jussi Härmäläinen,
but the young Finn decided to keep hold of the ball, scoring
with a lovely effort that Yashin couldn't keep out, 4-0!
Chernyshev grabbed his 2nd of the game and Eagles' 5th in the
74th minute from Álvarez's corner, great finish there, looked
like they have been practicing that one.
Knights played out the final few minutes of the game with 10
men, after Tuto Oliviera came off injured with 6 minutes to go.
A solid result for Eagles, as they put their blushes from last
weekend's game behind them.
