The Christmas break is now over in OFMC as Eagles are back in
action tonight in the EA KO Cup and there have been a few
changes. First of all, Taavi Ruusumäki has been named the new
team captain and the 26 year old Finn said he was honoured to be
the latest player to wear the armband. While former captain Vilo
Fluess will take on the Vice Captaincy role.
Meanwhile, Finnish forward Marcus Venäläinen has left the team
and the 23 year old's spot has been filled by young Norwegian
Hotshot Ragnar Varskjøld. The 17 year old was picked as a scout
option from the OFMC FA's Christmas gifts list. The gifts also
included some extra training, extra player minutes and a cool
£25,000,000 added to club finances.

TORR RETURNS
Finnish defender Campari Torr returned from his loan spell at
Thames Ironworks where he put in some fine performances for the
Londoners. However, with the season reaching the sharp end and
with injuries, fitness and suspensions becoming concern, Eagles
manager Dave Rosewell decided to re-call him early for some
extra cover at the back. And just in time too with Amadeus Rahr
being ruled out for 4 or so weeks through injury.
COPE HERE TO HELP
Some extra back up arrived this week in the form of English
midfielder Nick Cope who is on loan until the end of the season
from Rael Nerrad. The 23 year old will add some extra depth to
the midfield, especially with fitness being low after the long
League Cup semi-final match against Helsinki Hellhounds.
SUSPENSION WORRIES
At the time of writing this article, no less then 9 players are
a yellow card away from a suspension. This list of players
includes defenders Dustan Huevo, Taavi Ruusumäki and Steve
Bowen. Midfielders Darío Bourrin, Diog Guillems, Juan Álvarez,
Guil Esteboso and Tarik Törmänen. And finally forward Julio
Xavier. Eagles will hope these player can continue to keep their
noses clean with only 4 games of the season remaining and the
League Cup final against Kyushu Yakuza coming up in a couple
weeks time.
