Thames Ironworks 1–4 Reykjavik Reapers
Reykjavik Reapers produced a dominant display at the Boleyn
Ground, overcoming Thames Ironworks 4–1 in an assertive OFMC
Division One performance. The visitors struck early, with A.
Perebyinis bending in a superb third-minute opener before
doubling his tally on 37 minutes. M. Bernard added two of his
own, capitalising on defensive lapses in the 27th and 44th
minutes to put the Reapers firmly in control by half-time.
Thames Ironworks struggled to contain Reykjavik’s fluid midfield
and incisive movement, though Campari_Torr+ briefly raised hopes
with a fortunate 32nd-minute strike. Despite flashes from
standout performer Raya_Herreira, the hosts failed to build
sustained pressure, repeatedly denied by goalkeeper P. Andrewsen
in the opening half.
The second period saw fewer chances for both sides, with the
Reapers comfortably managing their lead. Perebyinis was
deservedly named Man of the Match as Reykjavik secured a
convincing away victory.

Sarnians 5-1 Pompey Chimes
A great result but a surprising game, Pompey manage to score the
first 3 goals of the game with Calderwood contributing two own
goals in the first half either side of Murrayfield netting at
the right end of the pitch. It was 3-1 at half time thanks to
Codi Domino catching David James flat footed and the newly
reopened Deadman’s Alley was raucous at a full 90,000 capacity.
The second half was ours and 18 year old Codi Domino scored two
more to get another hat trick matchball to show last season
wasn’t a one off breakthrough. There was plenty of close season
interest in the Jamaican but he really is going nowhere and
having been given the number 10 shirt is rising under expection.

Kyushu Yakuza 3
- 3 Golden Eagles FC
Probably on paper the match of the game round going into the
weekend and it did not fail to live up to the billing. It
always promised to be a close game and we started it on the
front foot taking the lead early when Caoimhin Og pounced on a a
rebound of the woodwork from a Groves shot to take an early
lead. then man of the match, Julio Xavier made his impression on
the game, first on the 8th minute when he was played through to
level the game, then on the 17th minute he hit a thundering
volley to take the lead.
we scored three in our first game now we going nee three again
to have any chance and Grove stepped up to give us a chance on
the 25th minute hen he equalised which was to end up being the
last goal of the half and now we had to regroup.
The second half started a bit like a heavyweight boxing match
with both sides looking for the knockout punch, and we struck
the first blow which we hoped was the knockout blow when
Nobunaga put us in the lead on the 69th minute but that was just
a jab, as Alvarez got what we thought was a perfectly good goal
disallowed also on the 69th minute, but that was not long in
coming when our ex player @@@@@@ gave them the share of the
points when he equalised on the 76th minute.
A good game for the neutral also Mark and Steve must be loving
it, I don't think I've ever been on zero goal difference except
when before the first game of any season, 6 goals scored 6 goals
conceded. It will be a hard long season after what we can admit
it has not been the start we wanted.
After the game at the post press match the manager admitted his
disappointment but out interest he has declared no more sales of
his players unless he advertises them as he is sick of being
stung by ex players

Kyushu Yakuza 3 - 3 Golden Eagles FC
Eagles received a frosty reception as they came out for the
start of their match against Yakuza at Mitutoyo Arena yesterday
evening. However, the visitors remained ice cold, even after
conceding a 5th minute goal from Caoimhin Og and they were
quickly on level terms a mere 3 minutes later. Darío Bourrin
played a pin-point through ball to Julio Xavier who lashed the
ball home passed Okuninushi.
Xavier then put Eagles ahead in the 17th minute with a stunning
volley and the Yakuza fans took exception to his goal
celebrations. Former Eagles forward Jack Groves then cooled down
the home side's fans as he equalised in the 25th minute.
The game remained finally poised until the 65th minute when a
shot from Bourrin took a wicked deflection passed the Yakuza
keeper, but just wide. This seemed to kick the game up a notch,
Taavi Ruusumäki was lucky not to get his marching orders a
minute later after bring down Groves who was bearing down on the
Eagles penalty area.
Japanese defender Oda Nobunaga then put his side back in the
lead in the 69th minute, as his shot cannoned in off the post,
3-2 to the home side. Eagles thought they had pulled level again
almost immediately, but Juan Álvarez's goal was ruled out, that
was a controversial decision indeed as a blizzard of abuse was
hurled at the ref from the Eagles fans.
As the game headed into the final 14 minutes, former Yakuza
forward Jussi Härmäläinen finally found a equaliser and this
time it counted, what a great finish from the Ice man and
Yakuza's hopes of a win began to melt. Eagles then managed to
weather the storm that followed and held on for an important
away point against one of the strongest teams in OFMC.
A draw was probably a fair result with both side evenly matched
and both sit in mid-table on 2 points apiece after 2 games, but
still a very long way to go.

Hartlepool United 3 - 2 Acorn Academicals
Hartlepool managed to edge this close game to give them the
perfect start to the season.
The game did not start well for the home team as Gibbons put the
away side ahead in the tenth minute. This silenced the home
supporters, this was to be the only goal to be scored in the
first half. Which at times looked like it was going to boil over
as the referee to book to home players maybe why he was given a
very unfriendly send off at half time.
The home team seemed a light sluggish after the break and the
home fans were starting to get more frustrated with there team.
It was the introduction of young striker Francis Ricky that
seemed to spark the team into life. The first goal scored by
E_Merlin in the 62 minute started what was to be the game
changing moment of the game with the home team added 2 more
goals in the next 7 minutes. Francis_Ricky scored the second in
the 64th minute and Puell_Houtte added the third in the 69th
minute. The Acorn players seemed shell shocked and it looked
like Hartlepool could go on to scarred a couple more, but Acorn
gathered themselves and when Kiel_Ginzalo scored in the 74th
minute it set up a barnstorming final 16 minutes.
The home team were able to hang onto there lead and came out 3:2
winners to claim all 3 points. Acorn must feel that they were
unfortunate not to at least come away with a point if not all
three. The game stats would back this up.
The assistant manager once agin took the press conference and
was happy with the way the team had rallied themselves in the
second period of the match to get the important win. As he said
the momentum form the first two games must be taken on to the
next match the vfirst away match for the team at United 1908.

Helsinki 4 - 1 Delhi
The Hellhounds overpowered newcomers Delhi with a comfortable
victory by 4 goals to 1. They got off to the perfect start with
youngster HarrisJones getting his first of the season with a
good finish on 14 minutes. The game went back and forth with
Delhi having some chances but Helsinki having the better of the
game. Delhi captain Cynetre is in fine form though and, having
scored a hat full against caretaker side Cartagena last season,
he again proved a thorn in the side getting the scores back to 1
- 1.
That could have been the time for panic but this Helsinki side
has matured since last season. They kept their composure and hit
back straight away with in form attacking midfielder Lyle Lyle
Crocodile Warwick getting his second of the season and putting
Helsinki back in the lead at 2 - 1. Into the second half and
there was no let up from the home side as harrisJones quickly
grabbed his second.
With the points seemingly secure, Helsinki brought on their
finishers to see out the game. Late on they added the icing to
the cake as sub Asanovic set up Prochazka for a fine finish. 4 -
1 it finished and that means 6 points from 6 to start the season
which was exactly what was expected from this club.

Cartagena 5 - 5 Real Foxes
Goals galore for the Cosair fans again this week but this time
their side squandered a three goal lead which led to boos in the
second half and at full time. A Shifo brace, Meata , Hanna and
Stroud scoring had them 5 - 2 up at the break but the moment
switched in the second half, a quick brace from Fuertes turned
the tide before Eunzo got the equaliser and in truth the Real
Foxes deserved at least a point.
Hartlepool 3 - 2 Acorns
Acorns will feel they deserved so much more having led for much
of the game 1 - 0. When the equaliser came in the middle of the
second half it appeared that heads dropped and 1 goal became 3
goals in the blink of an eye (ok, so it was 7 mins, maybe more
of a power nap than a blink) and the game had gone. Ginzalo got
1 goal back but Hartlepool hung on for victory. This felt like a
gut punch.
