       Hartlepool announce

       Hartlepool United are pleased to announce that Matt has agreed a
       deal to become their new caretaker manager.
       Matt led Highland Rangers to the Division Two title last season
       and will continue in his role there.
       Hartlepool are hopeful.thst similar success can be brought to
       the northeast.

       Manger White was today seen at the Hartlepool training ground
       for the first time since agreeing to take control of the team on
       a short term contract which is understood to be a one year deal
       with the option to extend for a further year at the end of the
       season.
       He was seen to be taking part in the training session and
       running the squad thought a few drills before holding a press
       conference with the journalists who were present.
       He started by saying how much he was looking forward to working
       with the players and staff at the club. He did stay the that
       Highland were his main concern for the season but he would
       attend at least two training sessions with the team a week. He
       also said that joint training sessions with both teams was an
       option. Ask about some of the local press saying he was not
       fully focused on either job and that this could reflect in the
       performances of both teams he stated he had faith in the staff
       at both clubs to help him run both teams and could not see why
       both could not be successful this season. He was asked about
       bringing new players into either team and if being in charge of
       two teams could lead to some conflict of interest, He stated
       that there was  going to be a Director of football at Hartlepool
       who would mange the purchase of any new players be he would be
       involved as well. He would stay in charge of player acquisitions
       at Highland.
       He then wrapped up the press conference and said he need to
       travel back to Highland for the next days training session.
