Kyushu 2 - 4 Helsinki
Helsinki got away with one here in a pretty even match that felt
more like a draw and one where they fell 2 - 0 behind. First top
scorer Og and then Dagda gave Kyushu a 2 - 0 lead but
HarrisJones hit back to giv Helsinki hope. The evervescent Evans
got Helsinki level just after half time before Jemmes for his
second goal of recent weeks to give them the lead on the hour
mark. Prochazka rounded off an incredible 11 minutes to put
Helsinki 4 - 2 ahead and they held that lead to the end.
Hartlepool 5 - 1 Cartagena
The manager holds his hands up and he got his tactics wrong on
this occasion as Hartlepool dominated Cartagena across every
stat that mattered and Cartagena were left to lick their wounds.
To make matters worse, Kamara picked up a sending off and misses
the next match too. Don't expect this tactic to be used without
more care again!

Sarnians 1 – 2 Reykjavik Reapers
Venue: Deadman’s Alley
Attendance: 85,000
The air was thick with disbelief as the final whistle blew at
Deadman’s Alley. 85,000 fans stood in stunned silence, watching
the scoreboard confirm what felt like a cruel twist of fate.
Despite dominating possession and peppering the Reykjavik goal
with 20 attempts, Sarnians walked away with nothing but regret
and a bruised ego.
Manager Skittles emerged for the post-match press conference
with the look of a man who’d just watched his team play chess
while the opposition played poker—and won.
“We controlled the game. We created the chances. But football
doesn’t reward the ‘almosts’,” Skittles said, his voice tight
with frustration.
We started brightly. Codi_Domino opened the scoring in the 19th
minute with a composed finish after a clever pass from B_Tanaka,
who would later be named Man of the Match. The midfield trio of
Reio_Fuego, Kai_Pavlov, and C_Ajak dictated the tempo, while
LASZLO_KISS threatened with pace and power—though his finishing
left much to be desired.
Reykjavik Reapers, meanwhile, looked rattled. Their attempts
were speculative, their shape uncertain. But they held on,
thanks in large part to goalkeeper R_Alvarado, who made six
crucial saves.
The turning point came in the 52nd minute. A routine back pass
from L_Erriparri turned into a nightmare as it slipped past
Z_Zoffenheim and into the net. The own goal stunned the crowd
and gave Reykjavik a lifeline they hadn’t earned.
From there, the Sarnians pressed harder. B_Tanaka and Kai_Pavlov
both came close, but the finishing lacked conviction. Then, in
the 87th minute, Ayho_Kushimo+ unleashed a thunderbolt that
silenced the stadium. 2–1. Game over.
“We’ll learn from this. We’ll regroup. But make no mistake—this
one hurts.”
