Tranmere Titans 0-4 Golden eagles FC
Eagles returned to winning ways after their League Cup loss with
a 4-0 away victory over unmanaged Titans with a dominant
performance. Bryan Prittwick got the hosts up and running in the
39th minute, picking up Dustan Huevo's pass just outside the
box, before turning and smashing the ball home, as it slipped
through Schetynsky's hands. Eagles then went 2-0 up a minute
later, Pavel Chernyshev hoofed the ball up field and it was
collected by Davy Hanna. His initial shot was saved, but the
Englishman picked up the rebound.
Prittwick then grabbed his second of the match int he 59th
minute, after a brilliant defence splitting pass from Taavi
Ruusumäki. Eagles then made a triple change bringing on a trio
of teenagers, with Ruusumäki, Angelo Nazari and Chernyshev
making way for Akram Miraz, Tarik Törmänen and Jussi Kokko.
Kokko almost made an immediate impact, as the young Finn's
defected shot just went wide. However Eagles then scored from
the resulting corner. As Hanna hammered home Domenic Torcaso's
corner, 4-0 to the visitors! It could have been more, but it was
just what Eagles needed with Sarnians and Yakuza breathing down
their necks.
The win sees Eagles maintain their tender 3 point lead over
Sarnians and Yakuza are still lurking a further 3 points behind
them after both of them won their games also.

Man Utd 3 - 1 Helsinki
Bitter disappointment for Helsinki as their strong recent run of
results came to an abrupt end. Playing the lottery against an
unknown approach for the home side the game was all but over the
1st minute. The usually reliable James McClare scythed down an
opponent, giving away a penalty and getting sent off. Down to 10
men and behind 1 - 0 with 89 minutes left to play. It didn't
really get any better from there as a Utd got a second before
half time and a third just after the hour. Helsinki got a
consolation in injury time but it was far too little far too
late.
The result leaves Helsinki propping up the top half of the table
in 8th, and realistically 4th and 5th are out of reach, so 6th
place can only be the target now in what has been a
disappointing league season. Efforts will continue to turn to
the cup games for solace and comfort. Dusseldorf - just below
them in the league - will be their next opponents.

Cartagena 3 - 4 Syracuse
Not quite sure how Cartagena lost this one having had 27 shots
to 12 and 16 to 7 on target. An off day for young keeper
Haddison - that is going to happen from time to time.
They took the lead early in this one through Huwe but Styracuse
hit back with goals from Moralez and Bradshaw. In form Xavier
got them back on level terms but Syracuse hit back quickly with
two quick goals. Whilst substitute Wanchope got them back to 3 -
4 they couldn't find an equaliser to salvage something from the
game.
Key stats: Bjelica moves to 57 tackles for the season, Alvarez
now has 77 key passes, Kamara 10 assists and Xavier 20 goals.
All in all, lots of good player development.
Table: Cartagena hang on to second but it now looks like the
play offs will be likely with Highland 9 points clear in first
place. Cockney in 5th mean that 3 out of the 4 teams separate by
two points will be vying for the play off spots. Someone is
going to miss out!
