Helsinki 3 - 2 Reykjavik
The Hellhounda got the better of the Reapers in a hame which
they should have had sewn up but instead had an anxious final 30
minutes. In a first half full of chances Reaperss opened the
scoring against the run of play before the in form HarrisJones
hit back within four minutes. From there Helsinki huffed and
puffed but a resolute Reapers defence got them to 1 - 1 at half
time.
Helsinki got instructions from the manager at half time and came
out with renewed vigour and duly got their rewards with
HarriaJones getting his second and Karrar finally getting his
20th of the season and getting his monkey off his back having
had a streak of games where he failed to score. 3 - 1, job done?
No. Reapers came back and made it 3 - 2 and looked capable of
getting an u lnlikely point. The Hellhounds faithful were
delighted and celebrated another 3 points and keeping an
unbeaten run going to four games. The result sees them leapfrog
Reapers into 7th place.

Robballie 1 - 6 Cartagena
In a game of only 20 shots to have 7 goals is extraordinary.
Difficult to say whether this was down to excellent finishing or
woeful keeping. Maybe a bit of both.
Tamara and Xavier got Cartagena off to a great start and 2 - 0
lead inside 20 mins. When the home team had a DF sent off it was
an uphill struggle from there.
By the end of the game Xavier had a brace and Kamara and Huwe
both had an assist and a goal. An all round pleasing
performance.
In terms of the league Highland keep winning and now have a 6
point advantage over Cartagena who have proudly climbed up to
second in the table. At least a playoff spot is now looking
increasingly likely.

Golden Eagles FC 2-0 Sarnians
What a result for Eagles, beating Sarnians 2-0 in front of a
rambunctious crowd at Eagles Stadium in Tampere. The team’s
performance was chalk and cheese compared to last week’s
drubbing at the hands of Pompey. Indeed, Eagles were the best
team for large parts of this game and blitzed the visitor’s goal
with 24 shots, while Sarnians could only manage 6. This was in
large down to the back four who were resolute and the change in
formation to a 4-1-2-2-1 where Darío Bourrin and Bryan Prittwick
both shone in attacking midfield position, playing just behind
Pavel Chernyshev.
This were pretty level-pegging for the first 25 or so minutes,
until Prittwick and Guam Honest clashed in the 28th minute (just
outside Sarnians’ box), with the former coming off worse,
getting an elbow in the face after already knocking the ball on.
The Englishman was shaken, but was ok to continue, while the
Nigerian was lucky not to get a card, but Eagles at least got a
free kick. Up stepped Frenchman Bourrin, who looked cool as a
cucumber, he struck the free-kick perfectly and it smashed into
the top corner just passed Ziggy Zoffenheim’s out-stretched
hand! 1-0 to Eagles!
Then before Sarnians had time to catch their breath, Bourrin
struck again a minute or so later putting his team 2-0 up!
Amadeus Rahr intercepted a lose pass, spotted Bourrin in bags of
space and played a lovely ball to him. The midfield maestro then
spun, dodged a tackle and beat the keeper with a swerving shot
that sent the home fans into a frenzy who began to sing his
name.
Sarnians had few chances and Eagles were unlucky to not grab a
third through Chernyshev in the dying minutes, even after
switching to a more defensive 4-1-4-1 on the hour mark. It was a
pretty breathless game and certainly one for the neutral and a
well-earned win for the hosts. Amadeus Rahr was awarded the man
of the match award, with Bourrin a close second, but the German
defender was at his best today and fully justified his signing
from Titans at the start of the season.
The win see Eagles regain their 3-point lead over Sarnians,
while they also pulled a further 3 points ahead of Yakuza who
drew against Nerrad. With eight games remaining, it is still
very much wide open however and Eagles will need to try and
avoid any more slip ups. They have a trip to Titans next
weekend, but before that is a home leg against Nerrad in the
League Cup Quarter Finals.
