The Reaper Review - Issue 6, farewell Mr Rosewell
By: Dave Rosewell Date: May 18, 2025, 7:10 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
In a shock announcement following their defeat at the hands of
Kyushu Yakuza, caretaker manager Dave Rosewell has stepped down
from his role at Reykjavík Reapers. Reapers have struggled
somewhat this season in Division one, winning 5, drawing 6 and
losing 6 so far. They also got thrashed by OFMC new boys
Hartlepool United in last 16 1st leg of the league cup in mid
       week.
That being said, Mr Rosewell did take Reapers (formerly Sky
Blues) to the division two title last season, where they
finished 16 points clear of the rest of the pack and they were
also runners up to Rael Nerrad in the X-box League Cup. So
despite their struggles this season, the Englishman was still
liked and even though it was apparent that he might be leaving
the club, everyone expected it not to be until the end of the
       season.
Dave Rosewell said in a press conference "I am sad to be
leaving, but life has gotten a bit too much trying to manage 2
teams in the top flight, along with Tampere Ilves in the CoE
league. I couldn't focus fully on my duties here and the team
have suffered. I believe that the team will be left in good has
though by my replacement who will be announced shortly."
Indeed, the team isn't going to be without a new manager for
long, as it was announced that former Acorn Academicals and
Kingfisher Dolphins manager, Littlemonkey will be taking over
       the team.
