       Well in a surprise move the owners of Wearside Redstar arranged
       a press conference to confirm that after the sacking of manager
       Andy Peverley that the board were exiting OFMC altogether. There
       were several franchises interested in taking over the c;by, and
       it was a consortium from New York State that were victorious and
       the newly formed Syracuse Saints were formed.
       OFMC OG Skittles was installed on a long term caretaker basis,
       with the aim of creating a side that could achieve promotion to
       division one, and retain this status. Skittles said he was proud
       to be given this opportunity and the club had a number of very
       promising young players and he saw it as his duty to develop
       them into an established starting eleven capable of challenging
       next season.
       He said it was a long term project and that the clubs young
       talent would not be sold, and he hoped when the time came to
       move on they had a team capable of rivalling any in the game.
