Flyboys 1986 vs Sarnians
It’s preseason time!! The Sarnians squad have been shut away for
a long period, no transfers in to report and none to follow for
the remainder of the preseason is the word in North Devon, just
the scout signings and ATM departures as the club continues its
policy of internal development. We won the wildlife trophy with
the intention of giving game time to the ever growing pool of
young talented players, with 7 teenagers starting.
Many eyes will be on Codi Domino and Ember Tuipers, as both have
developed immensely since the end of last season.

Cartagena
Cartagena Corsairs - Puskas Acedemia
It will be a baptism of fire for Cartagena as they begin their
pre season against top flight opposition. A lot of comings and
goings at Cartagena, and not much known about their squad, so it
will be a bit of an unknown quantity for them in this
competition. Realistically they will be targeting at least third
place in their group, top two is probably unrealistic. So they
will need to find probably at least 1 win from their three group
games in order to do that. Tough ask to get that against Puskas
but with Rael Nerrad waiting in a later round it won't get
easier either.

Helsinki
Eastern Whirlwinds - Helsinki Hellhounds
After a one season hiatus the manager has returned and is
looking forward to this opening fixture against Eastern
Whirlwinds. Some familiar faces have been secured and returned
to the club, the santa gifts have been used to good effect and
the weak midfield has been boosted and is now arguably the crown
jewel out of defence, midfield and attack. Young front line will
need to perform at their best if the club is to succeed in this
competition.
The group draw is a tough one with top side Yakuza waiting in
the final round of group games in what is likely to be a winner
takes all affair for top spot. First things first though, the
Hellhounds need to get off to the strong start and get three
points on the board against the Whirlwinds.

Gyergyoi FC vs Golden Eagles FC
Eagles face Romanian side Gyergyoi FC in their first pre-season
encounter in group 2 and will be hoping for a good start before
season 5 kicks off in a couple of weeks. Eagles hand German
defender Amadeus Rahr a debut, while fellow former Titan's
player Campari Torr is named on the bench alongside Bryan
Prittwick following his return from being out on loan.
"We have a strong squad and feel it has gotten even stronger in
the pre-season, the lads have been working very hard. Although
this is a friendly tournament, we still want to give it our
all!" Said a passionate Dave Rosewell.

Reykjavik Reapers vs Dyer Island Penguins
Reapers face division 2 new boys Dyer Island Penguins who are
managed by the experienced Werewilf, no doubt he will have his
South African based team well drilled. However, Reapers were
imperious last season in division 2 and if they can keep up the
kind of form again, they are going to be a force to be reckoned
with. No debuts for Reapers, but Ayho Kushimo who signed a
season long extension to his loan is back and there are rumours
that he could join on a permeant basis in the new future.

Highland Rangers vs Dusseldorf Dragons
Dave Rosewell's new team, Highland Rangers face off against
newly promoted Dussledorf Dragons for his first game in charge.
Both teams look good and Rangers certainly look to have the
ingredients to mix it with the division 1 team. They hand
several debuts to a slew of new signings, Sandro Estevs and Mai
N'tonga at the back, defensive midfielder Ilay Blondel, Caio
Tarazicjy and loanee Rui Hikkara in the middle and Sander Rubios
up front. Will be interesting to see how the new look squad gel
together.
