Highland News - New Season, New Boss
By: Dave Rosewell Date: January 4, 2025, 12:46 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
       Under New Management
In a surprising turn of events in the pre-season, Highland
Rangers manager Matt and left the club was replaced by David
Rosewell (who has won the division 2 title 2 seasons running
with 2 different teams) the other week. Rangers were unlucky to
have missed out on a play-off spot by just 2 points and will be
hoping for some glory this season.
       Transfers Galore
Dave Rosewell has hit the ground running, as he gets the club
ready for season 5 and has already completed several deals to
shake things up a bit. First of all keeper Alistair Hamm and
defender Ady Williams have left via the ATM. Next up Argentine
defender Sandro Estevs was bought in from Helsinki Hellhounds
with Martin Savers and £60,000,000 going the other way.
Brazilian attacking midfielder Caio Tarazicjy was signed from
Robbaillie Escocia in exchange for Irish midfielder Haer
McKinnon and £10,000,000. Next up former captain Stan Ravrock
and young Jamaican midfielder Jupe Twarmway were sold to Pacific
Pirates (along with a fee of £15,000,000) to secure Fijian
defender Mai N'tonga and Nigriaran full-back Diode Navrick.
French striker Guyan Louvre then joined Rael Nerrad for a fee of
£55,000,000. Fellow striker, Irishman Riordan Huwe (along with
£55,000,000) then joined OMFC new boys Cartagena Corsairs in
exchange for Spanish forward Sander Rubios. Finally the last 2
players to be signed are both scouts, 16-year-old Brazilian duo
striker - Saulo Nascimento and goal keeper Valdomiro Teves.
Certainly a lot of Latino being bought to the Highlands.
Lastly, it has been announced young that Steve Bowen will be
named the club's new captain, following Ravrock's departure.
Certainly been a busy pre-season for Dave Rosewell and his new
team, can he deliver the goods in his first season at Rangers?
Prehaps the upcoming Wildlife Trust Trophy could give us some
       indication?
