       I may....

...have a spare pair of 'original' NF shocks lurking in the
       garage.
I acquired them as spares; as you do!
At some point they may go on that well known auction site; but
if anyone has a need or is desperate for a pair, drop me a line.
Sure SWMBO would be appreciative if I had a go at some garage
       clearing!
       Regards
       Mark

I don't need a complete set of shocks, but I do need just one top
       collet for an original shock.

I will have a look to see if there is a spare collet; I'd rather
not destroy/dismantle a pair of shocks that someone may find
       useful as a pair.

Quite right,it would be silly to take one off a complete shock.I
am hoping someone has only gathering dust somewhere.

If it's the rubber collets that you are after, the ones that fit
the top of the shock to the top mounting bolts, I think they are
also a V7 part. Ask a Guzzi spares stockist if they have part
       number 1065 1600.

No it's the metal collet that keeps the spring cover in
place.they have no Guzzi part number. They are stamped
       'BREV.SEBAC ZENITH MADE IN ITALY'

       Hi Mark,
I have a 1971 Nuovo Falcone Militaire that I bought this past
summer that the previous owner had installed a pair of 345mm
center to center shocks and a 4.00-18 tire, which makes the bike
very tall. So, if you do decide to sell your spare shocks, or
are selling them and haven't yet, I'd like to revert to stock
size on both the shocks and tire, so I'd be very interested, I'm
       in Boston.
This is a first post for me, and I'm not sure I've got the
attaching thing figured out, but there may or may not be
attached a photo of the bike at the Federal shipping terminal in
Boston, headed for San Francisco in September.
       Thanks,
       Mike

There sure is a photo, and it looks very RED. Nice. Hopefully
       Mark can help you out.
Somewhere, there are instructions for linking to photos from a
Photobucket account, which is preferred, as this is a free
forum, and we don't have much storage.
Where did the bike come from Mike?
Oh, and welcome to the forum; the more the merrier!

Thanks for the photo tip, I generally use Dropbox on other list,
Guzzi-singles, etc, I will do that next time.
I had bought a 175 Lodola from John Lundstrom at Blue Moon
Motorcycles, the BMW dealer, in Atlanta a few years ago and
while I was visiting relatives in Atlanta in the Fall of 2013, I
stopped by to say hello, and the Nuovo Falcone was on the floor.
I think this bike like many in John's vintage inventory, is
from Germany and it appeared to be very complete and in nice
shape with a 31K km on the clock and yes, the Militaire green
had been replaced by a very bright red.
Fast forward eight months and I was invited to join ten Italians
who were shipping their Falcone's to San Francisco for a three
week, 3000 mile tour of California, hosted by Patrick Hayes of
the Guzzi-Singles list.. So, having only Airones and Lodolas, on
a lark or lodola, no pun intended, remembering this bike at Blue
Moon, I bought the Nuovo Falcone, had it shipped to Boston, did
a little prep work and sent it off to the west coast. It's not
an early Falcone, but at a fraction of the price, it seemed a
good compromise and in the spirit. I had a few days with the
bike in the Bay area, then joined the Italians for their first
few days heading North out of San Francisco, the bike did just
       great.
If your interested, here's a video put together by a couple who
also joined the group, two up, on their 1971 V7 for those first
few days, where we all had a really great time, good camaraderie
and really wonderful roads. Make some popcorn, it's about 45
       minutes long.

Great! Off to get the popcorn!
I think Leafman's down Atlanta way, but assume from your post
       that you're in Boston?
