       Wrong plug

My NF has run fine since I got it,but checked the plug today and
       it's a short B7HS! I have fitted a used BPR6ES that came out of
the 1200 Sport I used to own.A resistor plug should be OK?

Hi i replaced the plug when i first got the bike in 2012
with BP6ES from NGK and have had no problems until recently
about 2000 kilometers later. Was having problems starting ,
checking the plug showed it pretty sooty and wet so i
thought i had a carb over choking issue , something i had
dealt with before by replaced the choke cable but i
replaced the plug again and it starts first time . A
mate suggested that just might be the life span of the plug
... hard to say but i now have another spare in the side
       box at all time .
       cheer
       Ric

I had plug fouling issues for the first 2 years or so, always
having to carry a clean spare in the box. Eventually, it started
fouling up in town, having to be wheeled to the side of the road
and fettled before it would start again. Tried a new HT lead,
and finally resolved it by replacing the ancient Bosch coil,
which was clearly giving up the ghost when warm. Never touched
       the plug since.
Coil was one for a BL Mini out of Halfords.

This is a very late add on but in my humble opinion NGKs are the
wrong plug period as the market is flooded with chinese copies.
I've had problems on several bikes and now buy Bosch. No more
       problems

The correct heat rating is a NKG BP7RS - it equates the old
Bosch W 225. The 6 type is absolutely to low for the NF, it
equates an old Bosch W175 !!!!!
I use the Champion N7YC too and had no problems with them. As I
know bring the Bosch sparks more problems...
       Cheers Kater
