Uploading photos to your posts

Although we do have limited upload capabilities on the site,
they are just that: limited.
It's better to store your photos and videos elsewhere, and link
to them in your posts.
Try using Photobucket. It's good, and it's free. Once you have
registered, you can create albums, and it's a good idea to plan
first how you want to arrange them, because changing them later
will break all the links, and that's not good (ask me how I know
that).
Once you have uploaded the pix to your album, it looks like this

Hover your cursor over the photo you want to post, and a
sprocket appears. This is not the front sprocket that resides
behind your flywheel cover, but a nifty tool created by freaky
techy people in a dark room somewhere in California no doubt.

Click on that, and you get several options

Click on 'share links' to bring up the links dialogue box

Hover over the IMG box, and your cursor pointer turns into a
hand. Click, and the URL (address) of your photo is copied to
your clipboard automatically

Return to your post and paste.
Your photo appears as if by magic!

Ive been trying to get into photobucket Banquo as Ive pics to
download, it wont however let me in. I put in all the details
asked for etc, but when I get to putting the numbers in, it just
goes round and round telling me Im incorrect. Any ideas please ?

Yes thats the one. No matter how many times I tried it would not
accept and so I gave up. Is there something Im dong thats wrong
do you think ?

No good Banquo ! This sort of thing happens occasionally and I
never do get to the bottom of it. Mind, Im not terribly computer
savvy either. Have to do without the pics Im afraid !

IUve almost got there Jake, managed at last to get signed into
photobucket and have followed your destructions to the letter.
Seems I cant get past the last action though, in that I 'hover
over the inage box (turns to hand) and click to copy address. I
then am returning to the relevant forum page and (think this is
where Im going wrong), right clicking to bring up the paste box.
All this does however is to copy the link text itself. Where am
I going wrong please ?

You're almost there! The photos don't show until you either
click Post or Preview. If you have chosen the right link and
pasted into your post, click Preview, and see if your pic
appears.
