Poor Headlight

Hi, all,
I had a lovely ride through the dusk last night - first time
I've ridden the NF in the dark, as it happens. I'm not too
chuffed with the headlight - sort of a brown-orange and (like
me) not too bright.
The usual advice is to run a relay with a cable direct to the
battery, and I might well do that with all my Geese over winter.
Enquiring minds ask, though, if anyone has tried LED headlights,
and can they work in the NF? The ones I've seen look big, and
would seem to generate significant heat, so I wonder if there's
room in the headlight shell with all the other gubbins, and
whether the heat may be deleterious to said gubbins?
Any offers?

Start with a halogen headlight bulb from Paul Goff. Makes a big
difference.
"BA20d Bosch type Halogen replacement bulbs are also available.
These are 20MM in dia. with pressed out paralell pins.
They are available in 12V 35/35W"

What about changing the headlight glass & reflector to a more
conventional unit with UK left hand dip & halogen bulb?
Surely there must be a conventional replacement that can take a
standard bulb and fit the NF headlight rim & shell?

That looks good mono, but will be right-hand dip. Hopefully it's
a standard fitment and a left-hand will be available from
somewhere.

bonjour banquo je roule depuis assez longtemps avec un phare h4
et un régulateur plus performant avec de très bons résultats sur
ma falcone rouge et aussi avec ma bleue j'ai monté une ampoule
halogène plus performante que l'origine avec de bons résultats
comme le sujet précédent
actuellement je fini aussi les attaches (rapides) et la
restauration du petit side car steib ls200 qui doit être prêt
pour les prochains beaux jours

What glass & shell did you use? Did it come from another bike or
car?
Perhaps we can find a UK equivalent?

j'avais acheté un phare adaptable sur un site d'enchères mais je
n'ai plus de référence
