       building a guzzi 500 replica
By: guzzi 500 racer Date: May 23, 2018, 5:36 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
last my friend and I went to a visit in Italy and on some
exhibition saw this 1956 Moto-guzzi racer, build by the factory
but never raced as in this year al of the Italian factory,s
decided to withdraw from GP racing, luckily it was saved from
scrapping by some enthousiasts and is now only sometimes on
       display.
we where attracted by its beautifull lines and after some
discussion decided to construct a replica.
first we needed to search the Internet for foto,s and info, not
easy for there is very little info on this bike, also we needed
to decide what kind of engine to use as there are no spare-parts
       availble.
first we went looking for an older Falcone as this has (some)
resemblance , but the horrific prices asked made us look
further, so in the end we decided to use and modify a Nuovo
falcone engine, our main goal was to get the look somewhat right,
but realized it would never be exactly the same, nevertheless,
       we proceeded.
first task was to produce drawings and correct measurements,
after this we started building the chassis, using
chrome-molybdanium tube, over the coming period I will submit
foto,s of this proces, accompanied with the neccesary comments

       Interesting project Hans.
This (free) forum has no facilities for uploading pictures. If
you want to post pictures, they need to be uploaded to some
photo-hosting site, and linked to here. We used to suggest
Photobucket, but that has become useless these days. I'm now
using Flickr, which isn't perfect, but it's mainstream and it
       works.
If you don't already have a Flickr account, you can open one
       here:
  HTML https://www.flickr.com/
If using Flickr, simply locate the picture you want to post,
click on the sharing button, copy the URL, and paste into your
       post.
You can choose the size of pic as well; medium usually works.
Alternatively, you may already have another online photo storage
       account that supports remote linking.
       Hope that's some help
