Stock Tire Sizes?
By: patentgeek Date: August 26, 2017, 10:59 pm

My Nuovo Falcone project came with a 3.5-18 front tire and a
4.0-18 rear tire. I suspect these are oversize.
The internet indicates that the front tire should be 3.25-18 and
the rear tire 3.5-18. Is this correct?

Yes, but it's common to fit 3.50-18 at both ends. The 4.00 would
foul the chainguard I think, as one of our members is reverting
to stock so he can re-fit it.

Thanks banquo! The 4.0 rear looks too big, and the bike doesn't
sit quite flat on the center-stand - - - although that might be
due to the non-stock shocks that are installed. Hopefully with
a 3.5 rear and stock length Hagon shocks, all will be good.

Update. I've been running 3.25/3.5 front/rear tires (Heidenau)
with WM2/WM3 front/rear rims with good results. I doubt the
non-stock WM2 front rim (vs. original WM3 width) has much effect
on handling.

Great!
Centre-Stand OK now?
