       Hi,
how can I renew my fuel taps (NF Mil.), mine either leak or are
       stuck open?
       Br,

The rubber seals swell due to ethanol in today's fuel, causing
seizure and leaks. It's possible to strip and rebuild the taps,
and you can cut new seals from Viton sheet, which is supposed to
       be ethanol and fuel resistant.

       Nitrile
       ton
       Ethanol
       Gasoline
Fluorosilicone would probably be better according to the above,
but I know people have used Viton before
You need to be patient and careful with marking and cutting. The
originals would have been die-cut, but we don't have that luxury
       at home...
New ones are available on eBay, but they are VERY expensive

Can you remember off hand how thick the viton sheet needs to be?
       2mm?

1.5mm. Since this was posted, someone on our Facebook group
pointed us towards brand new taps available at about 26 Euros
each, about 1/4 of the price others are selling them for. Same
       cubic pattern taps it seems

Ive cut two new washers from the 1.5mm viton sheet, now working
a treat, thanks for the info.

Starting well, but seems to be rich at idle with closed
throttle, when the slide is lifted with the adjustment screw at
all it idles really high and I cant get a decent balance between
choking up/stalling and high idle - incredibly sensitive to this
setting. Carb body is back at the utrasonic bath and I've
ordered a new needle as there was some weird erosion on it which
might not have been helping, fingers crossed. The weather is
great and I'm between shifts so its murder not being able to
       ride it.
